This has to be the best tute for making a T-Shirt into a hoodie that I've seen, How many sizes bigger was your T-shirt? I wear a Medium so should I try for a XL or XXL?

Do you think this could be done by hand?

Kiss Cheesy I totally love this. With 3 teenagers, I may never buy hoodies again.

Awesome tute.  Grin I'm trying to make one using your tutorial and it's so helpful. Thanks so much for this.

It's taking me a long time, though, since I have no sewing machine and am hand-sewing everything. And I kind of messed up the shoulders since I didn't take it in enough and it's a bit large on my shoulders. But for a first time, I'm really excited to see how it'll turn up when it's finished. I'm down to the pockets and sleeve trim. I made mine from an two old shirts since I didn't want to have to buy any fabric.

edit 10-13-10: Here's my hoodie! I love it already. Thanks so much again for this tute

Ooh, and for colder weather you could just line it in fleece or something.
