Hello fellow craftsters.  This will be the second purse I posted here.  I found this fabric and just had to buy it.  I'm not a cat person really, but I love the retro/mod look of it- i love the chairs!  It's not perfect.  Next time around I'll use a stiffer stabilizer and probably attempt a zipper.  This is my first attempt at piping.  I love the look of it.  It gives such a neat look to the bag (besides the exposed ends of the piping- which I will avoid next try).

This one has a magnetic snap closure...I messed up by putting the closure prongs through the front of the fabric flab....so i had to improvise and put a painted bottle cap over it to hide it.  It's held on by magnetic forces now so I can take it off and cover it up with something else in the future.

here's the inside of the bag.  I put the pocket up too high..oh well....

Let me know what you all think.  Thanks for looking!

This is a really cute bag.  I love the retro cats.  I bought the other one with these cats in the kitchen.  Do you have a pattern for this bag?  I'd love a tut or if you could tell me where to buy the pattern.  Thanks!  atsuko

Thanks for your nice comments, all!

I didn't follow a pattern.  I just made it up as I went along.

I've never made a tutorial before.  I'll have to try and see if what I come up with makes a lick of sense.

I got the fabric at Hancocks.  I have a fabric addiction and pretty much buy any that catches my eye.  I've learned that if I don't buy it when I see it, I might never find it again!

What a fabulous purse!

I love the fabric and the style is very cute.

The bottle cap was ingenious and really look quite nice with the purse.

The piping is very nice too.
