Does anyone know what kind of yarn is used in the first picture? It looks so slick.

I know, I wanted to get some nice yarn like this to make another.  The first was cheapo yarn to get the pattern down.  All it says on the LAMB website is "100%cotton".  Must be real nice cotton b/c they're charging $75!!

Ok, I finally made it!! It is not exactly how i'd like it, because now I want to add a few more rows at the end, but check out my finished product!

not too bad, eh? I had to use acrylic yarn because I couldn't find any cotton yarn that wasn't pink or purple

yaaay!  I like it!  I can't wait to make a better one.  I'm kinda tied up in swap stuff right now.  I hope you like the pattern.  It looks pretty cool.

Great job!  To me the hat looks like it is made from the top and once a particular size circle is achieved you don't increase anymore.  It also looks like the pattern is made biodirectional, meaning when you end your row you would slip stitch and turn but go in the opposite direction on the next row.  You probably would be better off using a cotton yarn for a more flexible style hat.

yeah, the first hat was kind of a prototype, and I've made another longer one too to see if I liked that better.  I bought some cotton yarn the other day so I can make a better hat.
