They're pretty fun and easy and I think they'd look really cute over a bright red pair of gloves.

Actually, I've submitted to knitty twice since they've started by my designs never make the cut. Maybe I'll try again some other time. I just love that site and it's part of what motivated me to get back into knitting.

geez, now it will seem like I am stalking your posts.....I'm so like "oooooo, Marnie!!!!!" but, WOW...is this something a kinda sorta newbie could knit, or is it really really hard? I suck at following patterns, because they always look so overwhelming when I first read them...

Stalk away, it's all good  
This should be an easy pattern to follow as there are no decreases or increases, just work the pattern straight. The lace is relatively simple or you could just knit it plain.
I would love to know someone made one of my projects. hehe And, you could always ask me if you had questions and I'd be happy to help out.

hmmmm...I think i AM a total idiot...I keep running out of stitches on the "lace"part....how many do I have to cast on? it says something about eleven stitches, but I don't know if I am misreading something...

that gothic lace top seems like it would be perfect for knitty! maybe cause it has so much crocheting they didn't want to feature it. it seems like a lot of hardcore knitters are really anti-crochet!

i have a ball of Simone yarn that i might try to use for that critter purse sometime....as soon as i'm done with the 2398787 other projects i have going already

I'm a big fan of your legwarmers. In fact, I like them a lot more than the ones featured on the Knitty site. Unfortunatly, I have giant calves and short legs---I try to draw as little attention to both as possible. So legwarmers are probably not an option for me (though they would probably look pretty cool with a pair of high heels...may have to try them after all).

The almost gloves are on my list, though. I think in black with hot pink stretchy gloves underneath (I'm on a hot pink kick these days).
