are we posting our themes now?
i've never done this before, but i hope i'm in the right direction...my theme is
"every-body"  and i have a combination of anatomy stuff and also "can't we all just get along"-type things that people have in common.
that's the idea, at least!
(am i barking up the correct tree?)

if you have decided on your theme, by all means go ahead and post it.
on that note: since this will be wrapping up the week of my daughter's first birthday, i have chosen as my theme
LILLIES
because her name is lily...
basically, your peice should have something to do with lillies - pictures of the flowers, a pressed lily, a picture of lily munster... whatever Wink
it's your interpretation of the theme.

annette, the wheels in my brain are already turning Wink
i can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with  Cheesy

I was torn between two themes and I just hope the one I chose is not too complicated Shocked ... I'm a huge fan of collecting children's story books (mostly for the illustrations)... So I'd like my theme to be...

Your favorite Childhood story (or at least one of them... If you are like me...)

The only rule is that you use whatever mediums you chose to create a unique "illustration" to convey the book... No using illustrations that were published in the book or in conjunction with it Wink

I'll be moving out from my parents' house this summer. Will be getting my own place which is located in a city 5 hours (by car) away from here. I will probably get homesick

I decided that the theme for my deco will be Home

It could be something from where you grew up or pics from the city where you live now, your dream house, the perfect room or anything Smiley

Hi everyone,
I have a few ideas, but I have settled on the theme of Saturday Morning.  As an early riser, this happens to be my absolute favorite time of the week. Everyone's asleep but me, and I can do whatever I want.  I did not put a specific time, but let's assume Saturday Morning means 6-11am ... vs. 3 am when you may still be out on the town from Friday night.  Smiley

What great themes!

My deco's theme is going to be Bare Bones.  I'm originally from Dia de los Muertos territory and can't get enough of skeletons.  You can interpret it any way you want, though.

oh yeah! everyone has posted their theme! i'm so excited!

i was thinking about trying to find some links to sites about bookbinding and putting them in the link thread.

and if anyone would like to take pictures to post step-by-step how you made your blank deco, that would be fantastic. i would do it, but i'm still pretty new to the bookbinding thing.
any volunteers?

should our booklets only have, like, ten pages or something?  or should we have lots of paper and expect to leave "room to grow"?

that is really up to you. if you think that you might send your book out to other people or join a specific deco community (through yahoo groups for instance), then by all means, leave room to grow.
since mine is very specifically for lily's birthday i'm going to put in enough pages for this group and consider it done. (i only just thought of this, but if you'd like to include a little birthday message for her, that's cool too  Wink )
