1  Samurai Outfit for Renaissance Faire in Costumes: Completed Projects by Hats For House-Elves! on: September 09, 2007 05:23:21 PM

The kimono top, hakama (pants) and kataginu (the tan... thing. I'm not quite sure how to decribe it!) took about three days for myself and my mum to make. I did the hakama and kataginu (with some help for measuring things), while she did my top. It was my first time making a Japanese outfit, and came out wonderfully (at least I think so!)

I also have a bamboo stick that I purchased at Hobby Lobby, a carp kite from an asain gift store, straw sandals from Walmart, and large socks (they worked fairly well as tobi)

Anyway... I'd love to hear about your costumes!

2  Hellsing: Alucard in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Hats For House-Elves! on: June 20, 2007 12:34:01 PM
This was a birthday card for a friend of mine. It was my first serious attempt at inking in my drawings. Sorry if it's kinda large.
