11  Fleece Kitty Blanket in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Teresa_T on: January 08, 2008 02:52:01 PM
My kitty Chloe will be 15 next month so I made her this blanket.

This was the first time I traced a pattern to embroider. (pattern from Sweet Bee's site) I used a blue wash away pen from a quilt store and it worked great. Thanks for looking.

12  What kind of lace work is this? 2 pictures in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by Teresa_T on: December 04, 2007 09:58:50 AM
I have been wondering about these. I have 3  lace pieces I found about 3 years ago and I think they were a Salvation Army steal. I paid $10.00 for the larger one and $5.00 each for two smaller ones.

The large one is 40 inches round. The two smaller ones are about 32 and 26 inches round.

Does anyone know what kind of lace this is and maybe when this type lace was made? I have no idea. They are in excellent shape. The two pictures are of the larger piece. They are all 3 similar but in different patterns.

I don't go to thrift shops much anymore. I have enough stuff and one just doesn't find the good things anymore. Thanks for any help!  Smiley

13  Intarsia Question. 2 Pics in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Teresa_T on: September 27, 2007 01:37:03 PM
Hi, I'm new to intarsia (and any advanced knitting) and made this little sample duck.

Should I have a separate strand of yarn for each area no matter how small instead of carrying the yarn over? For example a strand of yarn just for the eye and for the wing area?

I've included a picture of the front and the back.

The back. YIKES! It's a mess! You can see I carried the yarns over a bit. If this was on something that showed, it would look terrible.

Thank you for any help!

Here is my little worker. I have been very pleased with it.

15  Two Dish Towels. in Needlework: Completed Projects by Teresa_T on: August 16, 2007 02:41:08 PM
Nothing fancy here but I'm playing with my new camera too.  Smiley I crocheted little flowers for one and I love cows. The towels were dollar store finds and I got all I could find, five or six of them.

16  Another Round Handle Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Teresa_T on: August 15, 2007 10:59:57 AM
Hi Everyone.

I made another round handle purse. Instructions from "Designer style Handbags" by Sherri Haab.

I'm happy how it came out despite (like everything I make) it's not perfect. It is not as stiff as the last bag I made probably due to the outer fabric. I used the same fusible webbing.

BTW, I just bought my first digital camera so these are my first posted pics with it.  Smiley New technology always scares me.  Smiley

17  Butterick Pattern Purse. HELP. PLEASE. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by Teresa_T on: June 27, 2007 04:48:15 PM
I'm hoping perhaps someone has this pattern and can help me. This is for bag "A" with the dots and bamboo handle. I can't figure out how to sew the the outer bag and lining together. When I sew the two pieces together I can't turn them right side out. And I left the opening as instructed. I do not think I was supposed to turn one of the pieces right side out. Can anyone put this in terms I could perhaps understand?  Smiley

18  First Two Purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Teresa_T on: June 20, 2007 10:59:36 AM
Hello everyone. I just found this forum yesterday and joined! Great place.

The fabric purse is the first purse I have made. It's from Designer Style Handbags by Sherri Haab. I broke 3 needles making it and for me it was the hardest thing I've made but I was happy how it came out.

The second is my first and only knit purse. It's just a triangle over the handles. One thing I did not do was count my rows on the lash yarn so one side has an extra row of lash knitting than the other. I should have counted and wrote the number of rows down as they are impossible to count. Knit and learn!  Smiley
