This is the tote that had the DMC green floss that ran. The veggie stalks in the bag. I since replaced those stalks with another color. Aunt Martha's pattern.

Cutesy but I like it anyway. I replaced "soap" with "tofu" 

 

Finally finished! This was fun to knit up but I hated lining it and securing the handles.

From the book Kitty Knits. The original instructions of coarse called for wool and felting.

I do not use wool so I knitted it with Red Heart Super Saver on size US7 needles. Super saver seems to be a heavy, rougher yarn good for projects like this.

Lined with a heavy natural organic cotton canvas. Sewed the butterfly. I made 3 and was not that happy with any of them. The other two are sewn inside the bag.

I remember many years ago (before some of you were born) I used to buy the striped edge towels and sometimes I got them with a stamped pattern or else I would buy transfers and iron them on myself.  I still have some iron-ons, but I'm not sure how well they'll transfer after all these years.  My sister still has one of my towels that she salvaged from my mother's stuff.

I love those stripe edge towels. They reproduce them now. I bought some of the yardage online.

Also the dollar store has towels sometimes very suitable for embroidery. Once washed and machine dried the weave tightens up and they work really well.

Hi Everyone.

I had the blue yarn and blue circle fabric. In an effort to use what I have, the squirrel had to be blue. As you can see by the first picture, he's not the only blue squirrel in the world.

Lined in a lighter weight and lighter color denim fabric with a large circles fabric pocket.

I used an Aunt Martha's pattern and traced it so I could easily eliminate the tail.

Hi everyone,

I made the mistake of buying these cheaper flour sack towels. I still will use them and of coarse wanted to embellish them a bit.  All free motifs off the internet. I used a wash away quilting pen which works great. Thanks for looking.

Some day I'd like to make an entire layer cake for my cake stand. Either knit or crochet.

Until then, this was easy and fun to do.

Hi everyone, I made this Kitty tote and I'm really pleased with how it came out. I used a heavier tan denim weight fabric for the lining. No interfacing. I was inspired by another Craftster who posted a tote last summer with similar fabric and had a panel with a child's name embroidered. I am unable to find that post to give credit for the inspiration. These are all Aunt Martha's iron on transfers



I used the same design for this dish towel for a dear friend. She has already received it. It's hard to tell but the kitties are done in black and gray.



And this silly little Goose pot holder. I didn't really pad it enough to use. It's hanging on the cabinet in the dinning area. Thanks for looking!

Here it is draped around one of my vintage jackets.

I like this scarf more now than when I finished it a couple of months ago. I knit cords forever it seemed. It's quite bulky and warm.



I like to mix the fuzzy yarns with worsted weight. The fuzzy yarn is called "Baby Monkey" and it's so soft. It is 100% synthetic. It's also easy to carry the worsted weight yarn up the side because it gets lost in the fuzzy yarn so there are less ends to weave in.
