Thanks stripey_cat, I'm off to find that now! Wish me luck...

On a similar note, can anyone recommend any good pattern-drafting books? I'm doing ok with bought patterns these days but I've got a dress in my head and I reckon it's time to strike out on my own.

It's really hard to see lmcbride, I think you've linked to the thumbnail rather than the full pic. But from what I can see it looks way nicer than a dull white fridge.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / blue stripy dress on: October 01, 2007 01:51:49 PM
So I finished my first creation, a blue stripy sundress... just in time for Winter. Boo. Still, it'll spur me on to make my next one now I guess.

I used Simplicity 3738 but changed it a little to incorporate a zip in the back to make it fit better. I might also take it up and use it as a smock top rather than a dress as I'll probably get more wear out of it...

That Alice fabric is beautiful. I've seen lots of similarly cute fabrics on repodepot.com but unfortunately the one time I ordered from there (it's in the US and I'm UK) I got hit with a huge customs and excise fee   Embarrassed

Lettuce know when you're next meeting... I'd like to come along and be all crafty in company.
