83  Creepy Statue Of Liberty & Uncle Sam Rag Dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by zosomoto on: May 25, 2008 02:06:13 PM
These two were such a fun project! They were a custom order and I was given full creative freedom which I always enjoy immensely! Made in the likeness of The Statue Of Liberty and Uncle Sam, they're both about 22 inches tall and completely hand stitched. The torch is sculpted with paper clay! I can't recommend that stuff enough! It adheres to just about anything, is very light weight, and is just all around awesome stuff.

85  An Evil Clown and several Creepy Little Red Riding Hood Dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by zosomoto on: May 15, 2008 09:28:16 AM

Every now and then I find myself having an uncontrollable urge to make a clown doll... I pretty much hate all clowns equally since they always look like they're up to no good, but they no doubt make excellent creepy rag dolls! This guy is 22 inches tall, completely hand stitched, sporting some of my most favorite vintage buttons, and carrying a butcher knife sculpted from paper clay.

One of the things I enjoy most when making dolls is putting my spin on the classics... like these 3 Little Red Riding Hood Dolls. They're all 22 inches tall, completely hand stitched, and each very similar to the others.

I used to LOVE the Munsters when I was a kid... in fact I'm sure I wanted to be Lily when I grew up Smiley I'm so pleased with how these dresses turned out!

87  The Corpse Bride Rag Dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by zosomoto on: March 26, 2008 10:27:21 AM
a couple of corpse bride dolls... I think they'd have been much cooler if I had sculpted their bones with clay instead of painting them on, but that would have made them too fragile.  I'm really happy with the dresses though! After much frustration while trying to find the perfect fabrics for them, I finally decided to hand dye some chiffon to the shade I was looking for.

88  Evil Jester... Over Dressed Clown Chick! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by zosomoto on: March 11, 2008 03:09:34 PM
I just finished these today... the Jester is a remake of another I had made a few years ago, and the other is based off a goth girl doll in my gallery with an added nose, at the buyers request. I think they came out really cute Smiley

I always enjoy making this doll! I loved the Addams Family when I was a kid, so much that I wanted to be Morticia when I grew up haha!

Here's Wednesday with a little replica of herself hanging from a noose...

90  valentine and dead dolls :) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by zosomoto on: February 12, 2008 07:40:11 AM

a couple more new dolls... the first one was made with the intention of having a chained Cerberus, but I have never made a 4 legged dog before, and I kind of got frustrated with trying to make a pattern that would work the way I envisioned him.

Soooo she ended up with this winged beast instead, who isn't nearly as beastly looking as I'd like Sad   maybe next time!
