(Not sure if this has been posted before or where it should go)
I saw this in a Japanese craft magazine that I just got (these magazines are full of amazing projects!) and decided to spend 10 minutes whipping a few up:

They are perfect for clipping on your WIP basket or tote bag, anywhere that you need to stick a few pins really.
All you need is:
  • clothespins (mine are a bit too long)
  • a small circle of fabric and a narrow strip of fabric
  • small wooden disks- I used slices of cork underneath 2 of the cushions and a mini wooden pot under the other
  • needle&thread
  • ribbon or trim
  • glue
  • polyfil stuffing
aren't they cute?

TA DA!

You guys must be so sick of me and my efficiency, sorry! I am really taking advantage of my week off by catching up on some craftiness.
I whipped up this little apron using my cherry fabric from Yirq, a dish towel and a little embroidery. As you can see my daughter just loves it.

Here's my biggest problem -- her tail ended up being about as big around as a fat pencil! (Not enough room to stuff, that's for sure).

What was the width of your Pointy Kitty's tail (approximately) before you sewed it? Do I need to be adding seam allowances to that pattern? I couldn't tell from the directions, so I just cut right along the pattern, but now I'm wondering if I needed to allow for the seams... any help would be appreciated! Yours is adorable!
Well Kaesea, here's a shot of my almost done kitty showing the tail:

I cut it just as the pattern showed and it was a bit challenging to stuff, I used a knitting needle.
I really hope that you can make friends with pointy kitty!

loves2experiment- I feel the same way, every day I tell my husband that I wish I didn't need to sleep. Just think of what we could accomplish!
Melladh- that fabric is lovely and the buttons are perfect!
MissMeshell- I'm glad you don't mind because I just finished another one (I cut and sewed last night). Now I have one for my table near the couch.  I have hundreds & hundreds (I am so ashamed  Embarrassed ) of 5" fabric squares and I found that they make a perfect little cushion.

yikes, that's blurry!
I don't know what to do with all of them, they won't look right in a single quilt so i just look at them and touch them and reorganize them and look at them some more. I have a problem.

Very nice lamamarco!
OK- here's what I managed to get done yesterday with my fabric from loves2experiment who should change her user name to loves2bgenerous, she gave me a little extra of this great fabric  Grin
Pajama shorts for my 6 year old:

I am not much for patterns so these ended up a little big... they will fit her until high school!
I utilized every bit of the rest and made Pointy kitty from the pattern found at http://weewonderfuls.typepad.com/wee_wonderfuls/store/downloads.html
Then I made a tissue cover for my purse; I always end up giving them away because people want them. Lastly, I made a pincushion that I saw and loved from MissMeshell's blog. I hope you don't mind, it's only for my personal use. The camera angle makes the corner of it look wonky, it really isn't.

Hmmmmmmm....what should I make today?

Ok, I'm using my last claim.
I would like 1 FQ of the yellow&white stripe with blue flowers and 1 FQ of the cream color with red berries from Homerof2's stash.
