11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Word games on: September 15, 2009 10:06:56 AM
Every time I hear someone say, "There is no 'I' in 'team" it just drives me nuts because there is a "M" AND "E"!  So there!

And this is because my great aunt used to say that she loved funerals because she got to see and visit so many seldom seen folks.

12  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Rubber stamp storage on: January 26, 2009 02:56:44 PM
Before the new fangled acrylic mounted removable rubber stamps came out, I found a cool flat file for my rubber stamp storage.  Great one layer storage for easy viewing.

LOTs of stamps and paper goods fit in this big maamajamma!
13  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidery transfers from vintage coloring books on: December 19, 2008 11:54:47 AM
So my buddy Kay gave me some vintage coloring books, from the 1960's.

When PerachYafeh suggested a few unusual holiday ideas for a tea towel swap, I perused the coloring books for her "Ice Cream Soda Day June 20" image.

First I tried the pink transfer pencil which totally did not work so then traced with the tried and true black transfer pen.

Ironed the image and started stitching.

I took liberty with PerachYafeh's idea of "5 a day" food pyramid.

Cupcake image from the same coloring book.

Hi!  Wondering if anyone has a source for super small stretched canvases?  Like 3" x 3" or 4" x 4" or small rectangles?
Thanking the wonderful Craftster community in advance,
I am,

17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered baby burp cloths on: August 22, 2008 09:43:31 AM
Thinking that I burp all the time and I don't have a burp cloth.  Maybe the next one I stitch will be for ME!
Here are three that I have stitched lately for the bumper crop of babies 'round these parts.  Embroidered on linen-type tea towels from the Martha Stewart collection at Kmart.

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Robot drawn by nephew, stitched by aunt on: July 10, 2008 01:49:25 PM

Stitched this robot on nephew's shirt.
Used lightbox to trace his drawing with fabric transfer pen.  Ironed on and stitched.  Nephew is proud.
19  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer 690U with magic bobbin - instruction book up for grabs on: June 16, 2008 02:25:11 PM

If you have this sewing machine, I have your book!  Singer 690U with magic bobbin.
Understand, I want the book to go to owner of said machine so the first person to send me a personal message with a photo of your machine, gets the book.

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tissue cozies for days on: May 08, 2008 02:29:17 PM
Think I found the instructions for these tissue cozies somewhere on this site and dang it all, it became an obsession.

The serged edges look nice but don't provide the crispest corners.  This one shown before turned right side out.
