This is what I got from iliveonarainbow, I love it, this is the first hoopla I have ever received!

She made me a stamp, which is awesome! I've already used it in my visual journal Smiley

These lovely District 12 necklaces, which are perfect for me. She intended them to look like coal, it works because I think they look like coal pearls!  I love the subtle sparkle in them. (I had a pic of me wearing them, it wasn't attractive, I had just finished running LOL)

The hoopla of my favorite line of this song- it is already on my wall by my computer...it's my corner, I have all my favorite things here.

You did an awesome job on everything, I really love what you sent me!! Thank you so much!!

12  The Force Unleashed- Starkiller in Halloween Costumes by tankrgrl on: November 08, 2011 11:31:13 AM

My son is very much a Star Wars kid- he has been Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett in past years. This year he wanted to be Starkiller/Galen Marek from The Force Unleashed video game. I ordered him karate pants online, then found a shirt that looked right in the thrift store. The shirt was way too big, so I re-sized it. I then took a cream colored gauze and dyed it grey to use for the arm and leg wraps. He wore his bogs boots, which was helpful since it snowed the day of Halloween and we had a few inches on the ground. I made his robe from black flannel, the picture online of Starkiller makes the robe look like it is one piece, but with my guy being so small I had to make a few adjustments, the buckles are placed at a slant and are just large hook and eye closures. The original Starkiller costume also has a ton of belts- I made mine by cutting a thrift store belt and punching a new hole to fit my son, I then used E6000 to glue the buckles on to the belt in the front, it buckles in the back so all you can see are the buckles I made from craft foam and paint. I didn't even bother with the other belts, one was enough. My son is all of three feet tall and super skinny, so the leg belt would have been necklace sized for an adult  Wink  I also glued the black fabric scrap onto the belt to mimic the one Starkiller wears.

Faith received her package today from monstersunderyourbed I picked it up just as she got off the bus. WOW! I have such an excited 8 year old, she had a HP Birthday weekend, and this just topped it off. Here are the pictures:

She has named her owl Firebolt, she is still thinking of a good name for her thestral. She LOVES them!! Smiley

Here she wouldn't stop talkingreallyreally fastcauseshewassoex cited and therefore I couldn't get a clear picture, she got a Herbology starter kit! It includes her very own baby potted mandrake, herbology note book, rake and mandrake seeds. She is in the other room right now busily caring for baby mandrake (and making appropriate loud screeching mandrake noises)
Her very own Luna scarf- which is good, maybe now I can get mine back!! She loves the purple and the very subtle sparkle.
Her gift from Gryffindor students Harry and Ginny- they say she will make a fine seeker...I think she actually broke my eardrums she was so excited over the shirt Smiley She's wearing it now and she will probably wear it to school tomorrow.

Her mandrake seeds Smiley

Hmm, I realize I don't have a picture of the front of her shirt, there's a beautiful golden snitch on it!!  She just told me she named her thestral Hermione Wink

Thank you so much for the great package, she absolutely loves everything!

Ohh and she got an owl patch and Harry and Hermione pins, I think the pins are already on her backpack and she is telling me about a whole sweatshirt I can design around her new owl patch.

My daughter turns 8 on Oct 8, and she is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. These are just a few of the pics from her party, I have more but I will post a link to my blog later.

She had a Honeydukes table with chocolate frogs, peppermint toads, chocolate pretzel wands, bertie botts every flavour beans, lemon drops, troll toenails and cockroach clusters- LOTS of sugar. The kiddos enjoyed a muggle treat for dinner- pizza and of course we had butterbeer!

Deee asked me to post pictures of the iPhone case I made for her since her computer cord is broken.

I was inspired by the specimens she made and based my design on those. I used her favorite quote and mod podged away, I love the way it turned out and I am so glad Deee did too!!!

Grin  I received from Lilak Tygress yesterday, we went to dinner right after, so I am just getting picturesposted. I LOVE my OTHPT...Here it is:

She made me a dragon necklace, and it was packaged inside a Hufflepuff tin, the beads are of Hufflepuff persuasion and it's meant to be worn in Luna fashion, a tad bit off. LOL. We both love Luna, so this was a very cool item to get. Thanks again!

 Here are the pictures:

Can I just say that the colors are perfect! I LOVE the scarf, hat and mittens, they are fantastic and will get lots of use in Alaska! Smiley  The 4 squares will look amazing in my daughter's blanket, she will be excited when she sees them after school today. Thank you so much Shablina!

(forgive the jumbled couch shot- the excitable lab puppy was trying to steal my crafty goodies!)

20  Re: Journal for a month swap GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by tankrgrl on: December 22, 2010 06:12:41 PM
Here is what I received from tristia- and man what an awesome journal! I love what she sent. Here are a few  of my favorite pages, some I think I might even frame for my craft room, they're just so pretty to look at!

And here is how the journal pages came packaged, I like that I can take them out one by one, and there are so many with textures and envelopes, and the gorgeous yarn, which looks a lot like some yarn I have on my wist. Did you dye and spin this yarn yourself?  I love it! This hat is fantastic- we've had some nice 25-33 degree weather the last week, so this helped cover my ears and keep my head warm, blown away by your package- thank you so much!!
