Ishbel (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Michele1620/ishbel) is my first triangular lace shawl. It was a pretty easy pattern to follow and very enjoyable return to knitting for me (after my 4 month hiatus). I think that I will revisit this pattern again in the near future!

My bff is half way through her first pregnancy and just found out that she's having a boy. So I had to make him a little blue hat! I used Bernat Cot'n Corn in Water. My first project with this yarn and it's a bit splitty to work with but creates a nice soft fabric.
I used the Umbilical Hat from the original Stitch N Bitch book...it's a pattern that I will use over and over because I freakin' love it.

Yup, another February Lady Sweater. This was a very easy pattern to follow and a fun knit. I used 100purewool.com Worsted Merino Single (comparable to Malabrigo!) in Blue V. I <3 this colorway!

I decided to do buttonholes & buttons all the way down instead of just 3 or 4 at the yoke. And I found the MOST fitting buttons for this sweater!

When I saw this pattern knit up, I thought that it was adorable. When I actually saw someone wearing it at a craft show, I decided that I had to have it! I wasn't too sure about knitting a bulky sweater but everyone in the Ravelry project gallery looked great so I figured that I'd try it!
I ordered Berroco Comfort Bulky in Copen Blue from Web's for this project and even knit an extra ball (just in case). So I don't know how it happened but I ran out of yarn with literally a few rows to go! I was really bummed but decided that the best thing to do was order more from Web's and cross my finger that either the dye lot was the same or, if not, that the color was really really close. I was very relieved to find that though the dye lot was different, the color matched perfectly. So here's my Owls sweater (the color in the pic is slightly off).
I'm planning on putting eyes on one of the owls but it just hasn't happened yet. And since I won't be able to wear this until fall, I have plenty of time!

I knit this with Malabrigo Silky Wool (merino & silk). What a delight this yarn is to knit with.

I never really entertained jumping on the lace shawl bandwagon but I had a vision. I'm going to San Juan PR next week for vacation and I'd love to wear with a long black dress while dining in Old San Juan...where I got this idea I'll never know! Anyway, she's ready to go.

I made a birthday deep sea angler fish.

It was a fun little knit...lots of short rows! I finally have the courage to consider adding short rows to a larger project, like a sweater!
I used Lion Brand Woolease and size 6 US needles.

This is a take on Crofter's Cowl http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crofters-cowl It is superdeduper warm!

Still needs a good blocking to show off the lace a bit but I'm impatient when it's 11^o outside....I've been wearing it instead!

The first one was knit with an aran weight yarn on US 10.5s, with a half double crochet border and braids. the second one was knit from a bulky weight yarn on US 8s, no crochet border or braids. The recipient thinks that it needs a pom pom. Maybe she'll get her wish...
