1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone know how to make these gorgeous scrunchy pleats? on: September 27, 2012 06:28:16 AM
I've fallen in love with this style of pleating and ruffles but I have no idea how to do such a pleat and was hoping someone here might have done them before and could guide me. This is from a wonderful Etsy maker, I've also fallen for the Ewa I Walla/Ivey Abitz/Magnolia Pearl styles. Your help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. x http://www.etsy.com/listing/64988793/short-ruffle-slip-dress
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Nuno Felting-Other Fabrics on: June 23, 2007 01:59:15 AM
Hello ladies, it's so good to have found you all,
I have a question or two on Nuno felting, from what I understand you can wet felt onto silk but has anyone tried any other types of fabrics, sheer or otherwise.
I've been scouring my local shops for some flowing fabrics and the only silks they had weren't in the colours I wanted, I wanted cream or white to start off as a trillion ideas have flowed into my head, the only fabrics in those colours weren't natural fabrics they were polyester or something (with quite a closed weave) and I didn't want to spend the money and create a masterpeice only to have it fail. Undecided
Has anyone wet felted onto other fabrics and if so what were they and how well did they turn out!  Smiley
I'm so excited  Grin
