1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Blythe Kimono from real kimono fabric! on: September 27, 2015 08:07:08 AM
My August Dotee partner alwaysinmyroom very kindly included fabric thrifted from a deconstructed kimono, which I used to create a Blythe kimono Smiley She also included the little shoes and socks!!
EDIT: I did this from my phone and I don't know how to flip the photo HAHA! Embarassing!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / T-Shirt Scarf on: January 20, 2013 07:01:05 AM
I made this a while ago, but realized I never got a chance to post it.....
The is made from ten or eleven different t-shirts, I used a bill I got in the mail as a template for the sections Tongue
I love crafting with t-shirts, but I usually end up giving away or selling what I make....this was a great way to hang on to shirts I couldn't part with! I used the back of the shirts to back the scarf (makes sense right?), and it's ok for fall and spring. I'm in Canada, so it isn't really a winter scarf, except for on two-scarf mornings.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hidden Treasures Necklace on: July 15, 2012 10:26:34 AM
SPONTANEOUS CRAFTS ARE BEST CRAFTS. I call this the Hidden Treasures necklace, all of these charms were sad and lonely gathering dust in the bottom of my trinket box. Now they are happily together on a necklace! YAY!

Another shot of the whole necklace.....YOU SHOULD MAKE ONE TOO! I just betcha have little odds and ends in the bottom of YOUR jewellery box!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Yarn Wrapped Chain Necklace on: June 13, 2012 02:52:40 PM
I've seen these beauties all over Pinterest and fashion blogs lately and decided to try one out for myself....

It turned out pretty good I think, and was really cheap and easy to make. The yarn is actually crocheted onto the links instead of just wrapped around. TRY ONE!!!! They're easy and fun!

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / BJD kimono ^^ on: October 14, 2010 04:44:26 PM
Just received my first BJD! She is a Bobobie Ai, I've changed her name to Baphomet.....I made her a kimono to wear (she was wearing a scarf toga :S) I'm not crazy about the fabric but it kinda suits her.....

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / TARDIS inspired shoulder bag! on: October 08, 2010 04:51:41 PM
...I say "inspired" because it's *kinda* the TARDIS, but also *kinda* not really.... I re-purposed an old bed sheet into a bag to wear with my Tom Baker Doctor Who Halloween costume Smiley

I made the strap out of a fleece blanket that is similar to his crazy long scarf Tongue

The lining fabric, it's all timey-wimey!

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Gothic-Lolita Poppet on: August 01, 2010 06:58:01 AM
Hi! Just finished my first Poppet, she tells me her name is Honolulu, or just Lulu for short. She was inspired by the Gothic Lolita Bibles I have in my sewing room (and the many meters of cheap purple plaid fabric I have haha)

I really like the way she turned out, my fave part is the hair I think. You can't really tell but her necklace has a little skull and crossbones on it.... Big thanks goes out to Puamelia, who angel-ed me in a swap and sent me the supplies to make Honolulu as a bonus! :3
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Dolly Yukata made from "Jenny" Pattern Mook on: December 17, 2008 10:56:00 AM
Here's a yukata I whipped up using a pattern from the mook (yes mook Tongue Magazine / book!!) "My Favorite Doll Series No. 3".

It's modeled here by my J-Doll Luka ^_^

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I don't get it HALP! on: October 15, 2008 05:26:40 PM
I have decided to branch out from scarves, and try this project, which may be a wee bit ambitious.....

I am confused about row 5. I know that I have to knit 2, then knit 2 and "make up" one, then repeat the k2m1 bit BUT what is confusing me is that it says to repeat until the last two stitches, then it says k12. How can I k12 if I have already k2 m1 until I reached the last 2 sts? Or am I not reading it right?  THANKS!! ^_^'''
