I guess you could call this a "crafty painting"...the landscape is acrylic & the tree is magazine pieces on canvas.  Let me know what you think...

I have never made any kind of jewelry before...unless you count stringing letter beads on things or a little hemp in middle & high school.  But never like this.  I bought some supplies and rummaged through my mom's old buttons...this is what I came up with.  Not super original...but it's my first try.    Hope to make more as Christmas gifts.

Does anyone have any maps laying around or know where to get free (or at least cheap) maps?  I have several projects I'd like to use them for.

So, I just got back from the beach with lots of seashells in tow, thinking I'd make some really cool things with them.  I've thought of finding/making frames and decorating them with the shells, making some kind of mosaic on something(?), and of few other simple ideas like that.  But I have enough shells from this trip & others to make lots of crafts.  Any ideas or links to previously posted projects would definitely be appreciated!

I have all sizes of shells...from the tiniest to very large...including cool spirals & such...coral, etc.
