I sent out to my partner today!! I should have signed up for two partners but this is my first embroidery project and I had no idea how it would go.

Wow such amazing cards this month! I have been really busy so I haven't been able to claim anyone and classes start next week! I am hoping that I can get at least one or two claims in before the month ends.

Brilliant! I have so many notebooks just sitting around, I really have to make one of these.

After my first month of swaps and stressing over trying to keep things straight, I made a table in a word document and put in number of claim (1st, 2nd...), theme, Craftster name, real name, address, date to send out, sent on date, and if they received or not. I put in a similar table of those who claimed me with their craftster name, theme, date to send out and whether I received. It wasn't too hard to remember to update it every time I sent or received. I kept the document on my desktop so I could check it quickly at any time.
Now the trick is to keep track of which cards I haven't posted in the gallery and remembering to take a picture before I send!

I wore handmade clothing growing up too, like Green Gypsy, and I loved it. When my two older girls (20 &19) were small, I sewed for them because it was usually cheaper. I still sew for the 19 year old I sew for my 8 year old because she likes to be different and I love to design clothes. It's not always cheaper to do so now but it is always worth the compliments she gets on the things I make her. I do buy branded clothes if 1. they are on sale (I hate paying more for their clothes than I do my own) and 2. they are good quality. We've been school clothes shopping recently and the things I have seen are going away from the hoochie mama look. Things seem more girlie and age appropriate now.

Oooooo I like it. I have an end table with a magazine rack in the bottom of it that looks like your original piece. I may have to steal your idea and make it match my new entertainment center I just made.

Now I need to transfer it to fabric.  I can never do this easily.  Usually this involves more than 1 copy of the image & a light board. 

Off to cut up a sheet & draw!

I don't have a light board so I used my window lol It was perfect light outside for it.

I am almost done stitching already...just got to figure out one element on the hoop. I kinda feel like it is too simple so I may try a different idea. I have time

HUZZAH!!!!  I'm so excited that Luckdragon is my partner!!!    I've already started stalking and I have some ideas.  Now I'm just waiting on the questionnaire!    I need to go work on some Ongoing hoops so I can throw myself into Round 6 for LD!! 

Whoo hoo! This is going to be fun!  I have some ideas already and am hoping to get started in the next couple of days!! 

Yea, see I have already sketched and started one and tossed it because I didn't like it.
