That is so Cape Cod!  All my Aunts and my Grammy would just love that!!!  You could sell tons of the patterns and / or the shawl itself in any of the many small crafty places on the Cape... I just love it!

you should submit this to a parenting mag or site like familyfun, with eyeballs made out of marshmallows or other candy and some candy legs, it is perfect for kids parties  ... with a little shaping could be anything from caterpillar, dragon, alligator, knit up into mushroom tops and marshmallow bottoms...  so many awesome things, I never even thought about kntting with laces that rocks!!!
