This sale is a craftsters delight... loads of jewelry, frames, candle holders, lamps, ornaments slightly damaged items, etc... for great prices!  Most of it is just waiting for someone with creative vision to make it awesome!  Jewelry can easily be repurposed into other items.  Prices reduced the second day.  Come have a look!

If you are able, please bring two things: 1) sturdy bags to carry away your purchases, and 2) a carload of friends who may never have come to the warehouse sale.

Hi craftsters...

I'm looking for some definitely crafty help figuring out what to do with these cute little owls.  They're terra-cotta, and were supposed to be plant feeders.  Unfortunately, the glaze that was used on them keeps them from being used as plant feeders, they're (mostly) water tight.  They're approximately 6" tall and 2.5" diameter, with holes in the top around 1".   

Thoughts on what they could be used for/what one could do with them? 

ie: vases (although some of them aren't 100% water tight), add a candle for cute walkway luminaries...it's that pointy base that throws me off!

I love the frame idea!  too cool.  I have millions of used gift cards from work I've been making things out of... beads, bowls, guitar picks, change purses....

I think they're cute, and would make perfect little gift boxes for your jewelry!  I do believe I recall someone posting a link to the template also.  Sometime around Christmas time.

I love them! They're too cute.  I still have mine in the ugly little bag it came in, and the drawstring even fell out... perhaps its time to make up a fancy new bag! 

awwww... I think your armless, legless robot cake is cute!  Good job for a first shot at fondant!

I usually just buy the premade stuff....one of these days I'll get ambitious and try the marshmallow fondant.

I"m fairly certain this is the pattern that I used for the purse... the first few times I tried it I ended up with a pentagon?!?  I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the pattern, or me, but I adjusted it to get the hexagon. 

as I've said before it's hard to tell you how to crochet with the soda tabs.   Try it!  It just seems to make sense where to put them.

 You have to work them somewhere into the middle of the stitch so that it's sturdy enough around the tab. Like if you're doing a double crochet... do YO, through stitch, pull through a loop, YO (put on soda tab), pull through loops, YO pull through last 2 loops.
