1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Girly angora booties on: May 24, 2008 05:59:59 PM
My grandma let me go through her stash, most of it was old acrylic but tucked down in was a small ball of 100% angora. Sooo soft, but it was really hairy and broke easy. So I made some booties for a young mama with a new baby (cousin's boyfriend's sister kinda thing lol)

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Mad Hatter on: May 11, 2008 11:23:34 AM
I made him for the magic yarn ball swap. He's all a single strand except for his buttons. I wish I could have got a clear pic, I was so proud of him. It was my first time doing something so detailed.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / So easy skirt on: April 21, 2008 05:10:10 PM
It almost feels like I cheated Cheesy

$2 yard wal-mart cotton woven cut into 2 rectangles and some elastic for the waist. I messed up a little on the measurements and it's a bit too long but hey lol I think I'm going to make a shorter one and see how it looks.

by itself, a bit off color -

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / A couple baby carriers Mei Tai style on: April 10, 2008 09:43:05 AM
I made these a while back, the brown one almost a year ago. But I thought I'd share anyways  Grin

This is the one I made for myself (well, for my little one lol) I like the wide wrap style straps because they're comfy and don't slip around. The front panel is some fabric I picked up at the thrift store that I fell in love with and the straps were made extra long so my dh could use it too.
Front & back:

This one I made for a young mama in need:

Thanks for looking and letting me share Cheesy
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / A Divine Hat for me! on: April 09, 2008 04:47:18 PM
A sweet friend sent me some pretty wool yarn as a gift. I wanted to make something for myself so I decided to try out this pattern http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=202060.0 which is awesome by the way.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Walking on clouds on: February 25, 2008 04:08:59 PM
Ssshh I hope my slipper swap partner doesn't see this lol. But I was so happy with the way they turned out I couldn't wait to post. I drew up the clouds myself, if anyone's interested I'll post the design Smiley The slippers are sewn out of wool blend felt in a dark navy blue but they came out a bit bright in the pics.

Close up-

Both of them. The cloud design is really on the outside of each foot but the way I have them set up makes it look otherwise Roll Eyes I didn't think of that until it was to late.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Boys side panel pants on: February 02, 2008 10:48:18 PM
I did a trade with another mom who's little boy loves cars/anything transportation. So I used Micheal Miller's In Transit for the panels.

8  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Bamboo yarn on: February 02, 2008 10:27:57 PM
This was my first time dying non-wool yarn. I was surprised at how easy it was although I was worried at first. The yarn lost it's sheen and looked all matted when it was wet, but as soon as it dried it looked fine again.

9  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Some yarn dyed up w/ Wiltons on: January 26, 2008 04:53:43 PM
Here's some Pure Wool I dyed up for a custom, but the person flaked so I made myself a hat with it. Not colors I would have chosen, but it looks pretty all skeined up I think. I named it Robin's Nest

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A few finger puppets on: September 05, 2007 04:35:54 PM
My first post over here Grin Here's a few felt puppets I've made this summer. A couple fairies, a unicorn, and a pear!
