i tried to to a gauge swatch for the pattern i got from fruitloops (the minisweater/boobholder) with the yarn she sent me (cascade 220 wool) and i cannot get it for the life of me. its supposed to be 13sts on size 9s = 4 inches...no way. somehow other people on ravelry seem to have been able to do it, but when i tried it myself, my swatch was like 2 and half inches wide. ugh. i really want to knit that pattern.

Oh no! I feel bad, that's the reason I picked out that brand was because there were quite a few on Ravelry who had used it w/ the pattern I'm very sorry!

OMG all the dolls are gorgeous!!! Sorry I've been away, my little guy has been having some problems and we've been busy with appointments and cranky toddler

Oh no I forgot to post before we left for the weekend! I recieved jpoparock's dotee! I'll take pics today

susanab - She made it there today! Yah! I'm glad you like her, that was the hardest one to part with.

I love all the different styles and body shapes. It's fun to see how each dotee is so different even though they are all based on the same general idea.

Meet Dotee Fleur from Susanab. She came with a note of well wishes and I can't help but feel peace when I look at her:


and Rose from Kitten Wrangler. Her note reads "This is Rose, from Lima in Peru. She's very clever with her fingers - always embroidering or doing some sort of needle work. But when it's nice outside she prefers to be in her garden." Very nice kitten Wrangler, I think we will get along great Oh and my middle name is Rose, after my grandmother.


Smmarrt - yours will be going out tomorrow. Hubby has the car, normally me and the kiddos would just walk but with the air so nasty we can’t even play outside, we can't. But since we're so close it should only take a day or two to get to you
