I recieved dotees from Kitten Wrangler and susanab!

Meet Dotee Fleur from Susanab. She came with a note of well wishes and I can't help but feel peace when I look at her:

and Rose from Kitten Wrangler. Her note reads "This is Rose, from Lima in Peru. She's very clever with her fingers - always embroidering or doing some sort of needle work. But when it's nice outside she prefers to be in her garden." Very nice kitten Wrangler, I think we will get along great Cheesy Oh and my middle name is Rose, after my grandmother.

Smmarrt - yours will be going out tomorrow. Hubby has the car, normally me and the kiddos would just walk but with the air so nasty we cant even play outside, we can't. But since we're so close it should only take a day or two to get to you  Cheesy

4  Girly angora booties in Crochet: Completed Projects by Fruitloops on: May 24, 2008 05:59:59 PM
My grandma let me go through her stash, most of it was old acrylic but tucked down in was a small ball of 100% angora. Sooo soft, but it was really hairy and broke easy. So I made some booties for a young mama with a new baby (cousin's boyfriend's sister kinda thing lol)

I made him for the magic yarn ball swap. He's all a single strand except for his buttons. I wish I could have got a clear pic, I was so proud of him. It was my first time doing something so detailed.

I love all the yarn pics! Those masks are so cool, do you have any plans for them TracyBSN? I love the beaded tree, I always wanted one of the little ones on a necklace, but a big one to hang in the window is way cooler. I have to put that on my to-do list! And as mature as I tried to be I still snickered at the naughty word teaser pic  Cheesy

jloveg your lil man is so cute! I got my ball from Sloane too Smiley I forgot to get before picture, but it was all nicely wrapped. I really feel bad because the one I sent her is defiantly not!

Here's all the goodies and the yarn! The yarn is new from Naturally Caron, it's Country which is 75 Microdenier Acrylic and 25 merino and it is simply gorgeous! Look at the sheen! It's going to be beautiful worked up in the broomstick lace scarf pattern she sent along with it. I'll be starting that tonight and at least post a progress pic. I also found hidden inside the ball:
-3 susan bates crochet hooks with bamboo handles
-Sharpies!
-Burt's Bees goodies (Majorly love this stuff! It smells so good.)
-a floral pen/paper pad set not pictured because I had to hide it from my lil
-A tin filled with jewelry: 2 necklaces, 2 bracelets, and a charm
-And a snitch at the center!

She knitted the prettiest scarf, I love the colors and how the colors blend together. What kind of yarn is is Sloane? Here's a close up glamour shot(the camera really picked up the red tones for some reason, it's not that bright irl):

The bracelets, which is insane because Sloane either did some super stalking or has some sort of sixth sense because the top one matches this necklace I bought off etsy almost a year ago perfectly!

and since my post is becoming ridiculously long winded I'll only post one more. Here's a little Harry Potter love:

Thanks so much, I had so much fun going through everything and it's just awesome!

I missed the post office as Im still winding everything up and cleaning lol (dhs aunt is a professional personal organizer I really lol since well, Im not very organized, just enough to get by ) but it is a bit stressful that shes coming into my small apt. that is crammed with crafting/home schooling supplies, 2 toddle/little boys and a hubby lol

Anyways heres a little teaser pic for Sloane

Im defiantly getting a bit of swap anxiety this time Cheesy

8  So easy skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Fruitloops on: April 21, 2008 05:10:10 PM
It almost feels like I cheated Cheesy

$2 yard wal-mart cotton woven cut into 2 rectangles and some elastic for the waist. I messed up a little on the measurements and it's a bit too long but hey lol I think I'm going to make a shorter one and see how it looks.

by itself, a bit off color -

Thanks everyone! And I'm glad you like him Amy Rose, I had such a hard time picking out a design. Being the last is just as hard as being the first! I think the apron turned out so cute.

I got mine back and it has now been made into a pillow cover. It needs pressed and I still have to make a pillow to fit (I stole one from my kiddo's room, but as you can see it doesn't fit quite right Cheesy ) I used a dark green cotton/linen blend on the back - which you can't see lol and the sides tie with jute twine bows.

Thank you so much to my group! All the stitching is just gorgeous and I love how all the designs are different but very much me! I'm so glad that as a beginner I still got to join in a swap full of awesome stitchers, and its def inspired me to work at my skills too.

Ooo Saffron is so pretty! I love how you did her lips, beautiful! Here's my small addition to Amy Rose's apron. It's a vintage puppy from needlecrafter.com I tried to make the flowers look like the trim on the apron.

The color is a bit off:

close up with the trim & better color:

I have to send it out a bit late though, I didn't make it to the PO today. Our apt. is being worked on and we had a 24 hr notice to move everything out of the kitchen/dinning area. My poor bedroom has stuff everywhere! So I'll send it out priority on monday.
