Well, my present to my boy is a ski trip (a day one, unfortunately, I don't have the dought to do overnight) for the two of us.  I don't want to actually buy the lift ticket yet because so far, the snow situation isn't looking too good (it's been in the 50's), so I'm thinking of making it like a cute little "coupon" or something...  But I'd like a creative way to present it.  Suggestions, anyone?

live in the north east? i ask caus im in maine and the other night it rained 6+ inches of snow right off the ground and today i went for a walk WITHOUT my coat! ?? 50's in jan...weird
anyways! for the ski coupon thing (i understand...50's!!! ) you could work it into the card, write a silly poem or something.  or if theres some small ski gear piece he needs, like gloves or ... i dont really know what skiers need... but you could make/buy him that and tuck the coupon/poem in with it.

I live in northern West Virginia (which is a southern or northern state depending on whom you ask) and the trip is going to be to Wisp in Maryland.

I like your idea about making it in a piece of ski gear...  I'll have to do some investigating and see what he might need.  He loses hats like there's no tomorrow.    Anyway, thanks for the idea, I might that.

my boyfriends a snowboarding fanatic, and he always complains about what an expensive hobby it is....for christmas i got him a lift pass and put it inside a travel coffee mug with some hot cocoa, candy canes,a pair of gloves, and some handwarmers (all cute winter stuff) it was veryy cheap...got it all at the dollar store, expect for the hand warmers..i stole those from my house...lol

perhaps u could put the coupon u make in an arangement like that?? my bf loved it and thought it was super cute and creative.

ok so the stains are actually on my pants, but the song just fit so well!!

they're solows --> dark blue stretchy pants, athletic/dance pants, that fold over at the waist

The lovely michigan weather brought lots of snow and ice, and therefor lots of salt in the roads to get rid of it. When it got on the bottoms of my pants it sort of bleached it out a little bit. The problem is that when i put them in the wash to get the salt out, the salt must have gotten in the water and stained other parts of my pants because now i have splotches of a lighter blue all over my pants. acutally, it might be splotches of darker blue, I can't really tell, lol. ewww

if anyone has any ideas on how to get the stains out, or cover them/re-dye them(?) please let me know i would greatly appreciate it!!!!!

Hehe..i got i soo excited when i read this....no one here even knows what im talking about when i say im from edmonton. 

What sort of finishing spray do you use and where do you get that?  Tell me how it works out because I was wondering about how to hold it together as well.  Doesn't it make it really stiff to open/close if you use that stuff?
Next time I make one I'll try to make some pictures for you guys

i used Krylon Crystal clear acrylic spray coating. it doesnt restrict the bending because i sprayed it after i was all finished making it. just make sure u dont spray the pockets together! lol

i've been making these for a while too (arent they fun!!??) and my only problem has been that they rip really fast, especially if you use a very small stitch. I use the longest stitch possible on my machine, but its not really that long. After it was done i s[rayed it w/ some glossy finishing spray to hopefully help the ends no fray or rip. Havent tested it yet tho, we'll see. Any other ideas for helping them to hold well?

I would charge a litte more than 5 cuz it is pretty consuming to make! It takes me about and hour- hour and 20 minutes to make one. It takes my friend way longer, she always get confused when shes weaving. Lol.
