Thanks!  I am not really sure where the term "dotee" comes from, but this was the tutorial linked in the swap info. and I think the person who wrote the tutorial's name is Dot, so I think that might be the origin of the name http://dotslifeandart.blogspot.com/search/label/tutorial.

So far, I have only had one swap item not arrive, but it is supposed to be on its way.  Touch wood!  If you decide you want to make dotees let me know and maybe we could swap!

Thank you so much!  He is pretty firm, every so often I jab him again.  I am anxious  to make more critters.  I can't wait for the roving I ordered to arrive. 

Thanks everybody!  I am very fascinated by needle felting.  It is so hard to believe that you can make real 3-dimensional things out of fluff.  Aside from jabbing fingers, I would highly recommend it!

Here is the first needle felted creature I have ever made (before this it was just beads and one little mushroom).  I named him Boon Bunny.  He was made from the pattern in the _Softies_ book which I got for Christmas and really love!

Having some spare time during the holidays (and a new Blythe from my bf) I have been making dolly stuff like mad.  Here is Hildie in a new empire dress from the puchicollective pattern and a crocheted hat/helmet that I made up as I went along.   The strap is a little long, but I still like it.
