1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 31 Gallery on: July 14, 2013 06:29:12 PM
I got a unicorn from mama24boyz.

Who is that lurking in the shadows???

Dun dun dun!  It is the fiery robot attack unicorn!  Fire shoots out of his mane and robotic derriere as he surveys all he defends from atop the Akari Lamp that ghilie only got a B on!

The treadmill affords him a high vantage point as he stalks his prey...

The horrible, fat dog, known only as Mr. Sausage Neck!  For too long, Mr. Sausage neck has preyed upon the little-felt-stuffie-people, chewing their eyes off and eating their fluffy innards!

The terrifying Mr. Sausage Neck ravages yet another stuffie person!  Oh the humanity!  Will the robot attack unicorn prevail in his quest to avenge the stuffie-people?

I have no idea, because this unicorn is never getting near the dogs, lol.  Thanks, mama24boyz!

beautiful goodies!!  Ghilie, how did you do that blonde hair?  I am going to see my niece in 2 weeks. I can't wait to give Princess Buttercup to her.

This was a really fantastic round.  Can't wait for the next one!

That was the wig I made for my crocheted wig tutorial.  The wigcap is crocheted and the hair is 4-ply yarn separated and latch hooked into the cap.  Smiley  Glad u like the doll!  Though, she had a lollipop accessory in her pocket, and I hope it didn't fall out.

Neat!  Thanks!  I'll take a look!  Oh no!  I checked her pocket and the accessory must have fallen out into the packaging and got lost.  Sad

aw darn.  i will look for another

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Three Lil' Cupcakes on: July 12, 2013 12:09:01 PM
I made Lil' Cupcake dolls for the Sweat Shoppe Swap.

First is Princess Bubblegum with LSP.  LSP is felt.  PB is wearing a lab coat and has a lollipop in her pocket. Why?  For SCIENCE.  Please forgive the photoshopping.  I lurve Photoshop.

Closer pic of PB, surrounded by her Candy People:

A pretty purple princess standing in a field.

A princess in a castle!

The pattern for the Lil' Cupcake is available on my blog if you want to make one too! http://ghilie.wordpress.com/2012/05/28/img-width375/

I have received 2 awesome things!  I got this amazing stenciled shirt from Eiseldora!  I know that this stencil was super difficult, I love it soo much!

And then there is this super cute owl keychain from Thimbles71.  It's so wee and adorable!  Thank you so much!

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help with poppet head on: June 21, 2013 12:56:46 PM
I think the head looks fine! One thing I noticed was that which way the stretch goes really makes a difference for a thin and long vs more round head. I had to make 2 once to get the right shape for a poppet Smiley

also if you use a fabric w/o stretch it tends to look a little wider.

try putting more stuffing in the chin and see if you like it better.

Not green yet, but 1 doll is mostly done (has dress, but needs lab coat), I made shoes for all of them, and the remaining two dresses are cut out.  Two of the three have hair.  Hopefully by the end of the week, I shall be done!
