1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Teddy Bear from Debbie Bliss Nursery Knits on: January 19, 2009 08:06:18 AM

I just finished this for my first niece/nephew (it actually is twins, but I haven't finished the second one yet) from the Debbie Bliss Nursery Knits pattern. The teddy bear is supposed to wear a sweater or a dress, but I'm going to do that in a little bit.

The embriodery is a little weak, but I think it adds to the handmade authentic look. (Or that is what I tell myself.)

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / clothespin bag on: August 23, 2007 08:32:20 AM
I wasn't sure if this craft should go in the bag section, but it is for the home and I thought it would be fine here...

I am doing a laundry themed gift for my friend's bridal shower this weekend and wanted to make a bag for her clothespins... I love the old one my mother handed down to me and designed this after it. This one features a plastic handle, which will need to be clipped to the line, the fabric pattern suits her perfectly! I can't wait to give her the gift!

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / my best friend made me join on: July 27, 2007 07:36:03 AM

I have been knitting and quilting at beginning levels for a couple of years and recently started knitting with my best friend this winter. She joined your site and was enthralled with the community here so I had to check it out!

Thanks for all the inspiration and celebration of the crafting art
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / This one is still warm in the morning! on: July 26, 2007 05:06:32 PM
As a beginner to intermediate knitter, this one took a little more thinking than I would have liked, but it keeps a hot water bottle warm until the morning! I used an alpaca-wool-cotton blend (Bernat, Haven) on Number 5 needles, and it is almost as cuddly as my kitten!

I wish I had this years ago, that is all I can say.

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / 3 Years Later on: July 26, 2007 04:55:59 PM
I started this quilt before my husband and I were engaged... After moving 5 times I finally settled down and finished it!

I love the history in a quilt; the navy blue used to be my corduroy pants and the flowered print was my mom's shirt!

I'm new to craftster, it's nice to meet you all!
