1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / aquabats vans! on: August 10, 2008 02:27:41 PM
So my friend had these untouched vans with skulls all over them (bleh) They were like this: http://images.buzzillions.com/images_products/01/40/womens_vans_youth_slip_on_skull_trail_reviews_105319_300.jpg

And she gave them to me and said to do whatever I want with them. These are a work in progress. Obviously the image isn't mine, I <3ed this poster though. Props to the artist! I'm not selling them or anything so I believe it's all good.

I'm not exactly done, there are skulls all over the back.  Angry
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / no sew repurposing of an old skirt... into a shirt? need opinions! on: July 13, 2008 06:32:23 PM
hey craftsters! not really a reconstruction, but i saw this idea in a magazine and i have no idea how i feel about it. i took a big ol poofy skirt and just wore it as a shirt. IDK how i feel about it. the 2nd picture is if i bring up the back part a little with a safety pin. otherwise the back is longer. my mom says it looks incredibly silly. wah! tell me what you think. i honestly have NO idea.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / last minute english project for one flew over the cuckoo's nest on: May 28, 2008 06:56:14 PM
i had to think of something quick that didn't involve me drawing, so i gathered up a bunch of supplies. paint, a box, an exacto knife, old dogtags, and an eraser. so i did the only logical thing there was to do Tongue

i cut up the erasers and colored them, then stuck them on the dogtags. i don't know, i think it's really fun and sticks out from the other projects everyone else handed in.
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Aquabats mp3 player cozy! on: February 17, 2008 07:13:34 PM

Mp3 Player sock! I sewed it up all ghetto-like and scanned that ticket. I don't take any credit for the artwork, it is done by the amazing pey. I swear it doesn't look this wonky in real life!  Cheesy

Sorry for the bad webcam pic! Tongue
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / mp3 player mod on: January 20, 2008 02:27:33 PM
hi guys! i was thinking, i want to take my very ugly and boring toshiba gigabeat (40 gb version) and paint it or something. I've seen case mods for things like xbox, or the nintendo ds, but i really don't want to take this apart. it's basically brushed metal. i was thinking, some sort of paint, then glaze?  Huh not my forte, i don't know anything. maybe an epoxy to seal it? i live in a tiny apartment... not much ventilation for that. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

you could see why i'd want to make it look cooler... Tongue

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / clockwork orange stencil on a plain canvas tote on: January 06, 2008 04:46:28 PM

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Turning 1 Inch pins into necklaces on: January 03, 2008 03:05:13 PM
I lovee little band pins, but I always end up losing them if I pin them to my bag. My friend sometimes strings it from the back where the pinback is, but I think that looks a little ghetto. What do you mighty crafty guys and ladies think would be a cool way to turn these pins into pendants? I have no idea!
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / cute eraser + sculpey glaze = cute necklace! on: October 13, 2007 06:31:54 PM
You know those moments where you're like "Hmm... oh what the hell." -dives in- This was one of those.

So I had these cuuute set of 6 erasers that I just can't BEAR to use. Except the fries and the hotdog (not pictured)

And I LOVED the icecream bar one soooooo I glazed it with Sculpey Air dry Satin Glaze and poked a hole and added a looped wire

Sorry for the crappy pic quality! YUM! I love it.
