And i just got a spinning wheel!!!! Maybe next week I'll be able to join you guys (of course, it will be yarn barf, but its still my yarn barf ) Right now I have to glue my bobbins together.

its always fun to catch your pets doing something they pretend they dont like. Like my bunny, he pretends he doesnt like strawberries, but once you stop watching, he'll eat them up like nothing.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen potatoes that purple before!  With the garnish, it kind of looks like a brain coral with some seaweed (in a good way).  I wonder if anywhere around here has purple potatoes....   

Do you happen to know if they have different nutritional value than plain old white potatoes?

Yes. purple potatoes are more nutritious than the plain ol' white potatoes. the pigments in the purple have nutrients in them
