1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Yet Another Amy Bulter Weekender Travel Bag 2013 Ed. on: February 16, 2013 01:21:29 PM
Good day All, I finally finished this Amy Butler Weekender Travel Bag I started in January.  My delay in finished came as I am not a great hand sewer. But I proved myself wrong.  I asked a friend to hand sew the interior to the exterior of the bag.  She told me NO, which I was cool with as I need to work on my hand sewing.  I am glad I did the hand sewing myself after all.  The exterior fabric (whole bolt) was given to me by a church member and the interior was bought at my local Joann Fabrics.  I used fleece interfacing instead of the Timtex(Peltex) to give the bag a more comfortable feel. I lined the pockets with the same fabrics!

Front has my nickname (given to me by my neighbor) machine embroidered!!

6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Pray while you READ!! on: October 01, 2011 11:23:11 PM
I have been working at another store to help OUT while they are looking for new employees.  The manager came in one day with a witch's hat (Lace) she bought off urban threads.  That got me inspired to locate the ones i bought or were given to make a few of MY OWN.  I bought this Pray Bookmark (Lace) off emblibrary awhile back.  I plan on making others that I have found in my collection of embroidery designs.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / So What R U Going to Wear to the Wedding? on: August 08, 2011 09:55:28 AM
My cousin {is the bride} got married on August 6, 2011.  I didn't know what I was going to wear until Monday 8-1-11 which I decide upon a Jumpsuit.  OOOPS forget to mention that I used linen that I had on hand.  I made the jumpsuit on Thursday evening.  The wedding was in Stockton and it was an outside event {can you say hot and humid}.  My outfit was appropiate as the wedding was at 5 pm.

I took a the pants from a pajama pattern and made the top from the remainder of the fabric. The jumpsuit has pockets which is great. So this is what I came up with.

That's the delta in the background!!

Thanks for viewing!!

9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Congrats to the Grad on: June 07, 2011 09:47:01 PM
I was commission to make this stole/scarf for a young lady at my church.  She is graduating this Thursday.  I made the stole and embroidered the lettering today.

Now it needs to be professionally pressed.  Congratulation Milan!!! Shocked Grin Wink
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Where are my KEYS!!!!! AAAAAA on: March 28, 2011 10:34:13 PM
No one can not say they can not find their keys once they put them on one of these beauties!!!  Have scraps will make keyfobs and mini keyfobs.  I bought the o-rings from a local mom and pop fabric store and the swivel clasp from Joann's.  I am going to be looking into purchasing the swivel clasp in bulk.

I used ribbon on 2 and fabric on the others to cover the ends sewn together.

The interior of the is different while the others are the same.

These are sooo addictive.  I had another project that I was working on and got frustrated with it.  So, I changed my focus to these Lil sweeties.  I am going to give them as Gifts for Christmas.
