Is that a short row heel?

Yup Smiley My first honest-to-goodness short row heel. I wanted to throw my knitting out the window a few times, but I finally figured out the heels Smiley

Yeah. I was comfy doing cuff down, but wanted to be able to get best use of my yarn. I have big feet so I was alway afraid of running out of yarn when I worked cuff down Smiley

The socks look excellent. And, since I too became addicted to sock knitting I have spent WAY too much money at Knitpicks.com

Yet another paid of finished socks Smiley Pattern from More Sensational Knitted Socks. I used Lion Brand Magic Stripe (Jelly Bean Stripe). I wanted to try something different than I usually do so did toe-up using DPNs.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Inside-Out Heel Ankle Socks on: July 04, 2007 05:10:43 PM
I made these socks as a part of a knit-along. They are very basic, but to make things more interesting I made the heel inside-out. Very quick to knit using hand dyed finger-weight wool. Blogged about here.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Big socks, little socks... an addiction :) on: June 18, 2007 06:31:08 PM
Yeah. I think one of the biggest reasons I am addicted about socks is the fact that they go well with my attention span. I tend to "forget" about my bigger projects. I have a crochet throw that took me about 5 years to make because I kept sticking it in the closet and forgetting about it  Smiley
