So a few years ago, I got this old dress form from my grandma. Sadly, upon closer inspection, it was revealed to be broken and shedding dry-rotted foam. Yuck. So I proceeded to set it in my hallway where it remained as an eyesore and hat rack for a couple of years. Today I was rummaging through some old stuff and found my green Christmas lights and wondered what on Earth I could do with them. Then I got this idea...

Broken, so sad. I'm stripping off the old, nasty fabric.

You can't really tell from the picture, but the lights are very bright. And contrast with the orange dress in a fabulously tacky way.  

My cousin is a huge fan of The Doors/ Jim Morrison, as am I. So I thought for Christmas, I would make her a jacket! I've already stencilled a picture of Jim onto the front of the jacket and it looks great. But it's still kinda boring and I have yet to think of other embellishment ideas.

Soo like a month ago I bought this remnant of red synthetic type stuff. And was like Hey! I can make a dress! So I did. And I finished it in two days. But I'm a slacker and didn't reinforce the straps until tonight. Oh well.

And if anyone is wondering, the black and white shirt isn't part of it. Just a random shirt I have that I thought looked pretty with it
