I would just like to say that I actually don't spend alot of time climbing on kitchen counters, but I have two stories for you right now.
I was once making curtains for the window above our kitchen sink. So naturally I had to climb up to do some measuring and whatnot. So I innocently jump down onto the floor, directly onto an upturned thumbtack. It went right in to that little ball-type part under my big toe...yikes.
Another time I was going to get the super glue out of a cupboard, it was up on the highest shelf and I was on a chair. Naturally it was pushed all the way to the back of the cupboard, so I decide for a little extra height to step up onto the kitchen stove. Bad news. Apparently the mother had been cooking something not five minutes earlier. I had a lovely little half-target pattern seared into the bottom of my left foot.
when youre holding the black/purple part over a flame, how do you know when to stop? when it makes the cracking noise? and when it does make that noise is that when you run it under water?
It usually makes the cracking noise when you run it under really cold water RIGHT after taking it out of the flame. It doesn't always make a noise though so dont worry if it doesn't happen.
So basically this dresser has been white forever, and it has lived in my sisters room since she was 2-ish. So we all know how that works white paint+crayons+barbie stickers = one yucky dresser. So when this lovely piece of furniture was donated to me when I moved away for university I decided something needed to be done. So I did it.
Here it is in all of my rooms "lived in" glory
I couldnt decide which of these pictures best showed off the top..so Im giving you four differerent ones.
Thats awesome, I was planning on doing something similar with a "tractor crossing" sign that I have. (The favourite of my "collection") I just never got around to doing it. Inspiration!
