1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Shrinking fat quarters? on: May 26, 2008 08:14:01 AM
I've been looking at making my second quilt out of fat quarters.  The first quilt I did I preshrunk all the cotton before making the quilt.  My question is, if I use a pattern that's written for fat quarters (18x22), but I preshrink them, wouldn't they no longer be 18x22?
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet hook roll on: May 13, 2008 03:14:52 PM
I know this isn't crocheted, but it's for crochet hooks, so I thought I'd put it here.  I made it for the magic yarn ball 8 swap.  I saw a similar one around here somewhere with the blue fabric that's like my white.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Earrings/Tree of life/Bracelett on: May 13, 2008 03:07:13 PM
These were made for the magic yarn ball 8 swap.  Thought I'd post them here too!

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Quilt for friend's baby. on: May 10, 2007 09:14:41 PM
My friend's son had his first birthday back in March, and for the occasion I made a quilt.  My first quilt in fact.  His room is decorated in Winnie the Pooh, so I used a Winnie the Pooh fat quarter pack and some other fat quarters.  It's simple, but for my first it's not bad!  I embroidered his first and middle name on one of the squares.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / somebody got a messenger bag for Christmas! on: December 24, 2006 01:49:55 PM
I made this bag for my husband's cousin.  It's made with olive green duck for the outside, and olive green/red brocade for the inside.  The tree was embroidered with a sparkly red that matched the inside.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Buncha Hats on: October 14, 2006 06:24:56 AM

7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Overlocker vs. Serger on: September 07, 2006 04:31:39 AM
Is there are difference between an overlocker and a serger?  Or are they the same thing?
8  Wisconsin / Wisconsin: Southeast / What's in Madison? on: August 12, 2006 09:53:17 PM
So I'm new to Madison.  I knit, crochet, sew, and various other things. What's all here that's crafty?  Any crafty groups I should check out?

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Paisley Skirt on: June 04, 2006 08:25:52 AM
I made this skirt by tracing around another skirt I already had.  It was the first time I've done a zipper, and first time using binding (top and bottom).  Here it is!

Don't mind my face or the phone.. I was talking to the hubby while taking pictures.  I'll take a close up of the fabric later.

*Edited to add more pictures!*

Here's the promised close up of the fabric...

side (don't mind the black bar.. I have lazy eye, and my eyes looked way wacked out in that picture.. had to hide them..)

other side w/ invisible zipper (I know you can see a little bit of it, but hey.. it was my first zipper, give me a break!)
