Ok, I finally got pictures of Bella! DustyChica did an amazing job! This is based off of the Prom scene.
I love the detail she put into Bella... like James' bite mark, the cast on her leg, the corsage, the leggings (which you can partly see in a couple of the pictures), and the necklace and bracelet (which the bead part is hidden, but looks like the necklace).
She also sent two extras. A twilight inspired bracelet...
And a Coraline inspired bracelet, which was one of my other characters. The bracelet is reversible so I can wear it white side out or black side out (kinda like the different "sides" of Coraline's world).
Everything (approved by Phoenix & Griffin) There's a large bag in the back (black & white), in front of that under the monkey's tail is a sandwich wrap, to the right of that is a embroidery hoop framed piece of fabric. I plan on having a wall like this, so that's a great start! The painting's in the front. Individual pictures of the other stuff to follow.
With matching neckace!
A How to book for kniting, crocheting, embroidery, and tatting (the part I'm excited for), and buttons!
I love everything AbbyRose!
Here's a random funny story too: I was opening the package, and got to the paintings. They were stacked on top of each other with the one of the far right on top. So I'm looking at it and thinking to myself "so I really did get a painted swirl?" I was turning it that way and this way and finally turned it to the side and realized that there were 3 paintings! I didn't realize it was a tryptich at first.
OK, I finally have pictures of the great angel package bigfatroses sent! I received a week ago now, but my camera card was to busy being corrupted to take pictures.
Oh, and I totally forgot to take a picture before unraveling (my camera was corrupted anyway), so if you have a picture of the yarn ball bigfatroses, feel free to post it.
The yarn she sent for the pattern is plymouth's Happy Feet (90% superwash wool, 10% nylon) for Knitty's Baudelaire (socks). This stuff is super soft I can't wait to knit with it.
Pictured here is the happy feet yarn mentioned above, a victorian style necklace (it's kinda in a pile and hard to tell it's a necklace), 2 beaded bracelets, a pair of earrings, a bookmark and stitch markers w/ a-h beads on them)
Here is my chart holder (w/ my baudelaire pattern in it), some Ghiradelli chocolate (all gone now.. he he), the china town sublime stitching patterns, a deck of shoe cards (we're still trying to figure out how to shuffle these), a flowery notebook, some sugar and cream yarn (color potpourri ombre) that I have already made into two star shaped wash clothes, some vintage magnets, and some plymouth baby alpaca brush paint yarn that is very soft and I already made a calorimetry out of it! (still needs a button though).
Here's some body wash, bath bomb, lotion, cup cake lip balm, myrtle beach key chain, some soda candies, a sucker, a Turk's Head rope bracelet, gift soap, cable holders, stitch holder, ultra fine point sharpies, and lip bandaids!
Thanks again bigfatroses for the awesome package and for angeling for me!
I know this isn't crocheted, but it's for crochet hooks, so I thought I'd put it here. I made it for the magic yarn ball 8 swap. I saw a similar one around here somewhere with the blue fabric that's like my white.
My friend's son had his first birthday back in March, and for the occasion I made a quilt. My first quilt in fact. His room is decorated in Winnie the Pooh, so I used a Winnie the Pooh fat quarter pack and some other fat quarters. It's simple, but for my first it's not bad! I embroidered his first and middle name on one of the squares.
Ok, I finally have my computer back and it's about time I post some pictures to give superhooker the credit she deserves!!
Out of the package:
Ball #1 unwrapped (cause I just couldn't wait.. I tried and got about halfway through before I unwrapped the last half.) It has a magic grow turtle, a little picture frame, cable needle, a butterfly magnet, measuring tape, point protectors, bracelet, an assortment of awesome beads (plastic and glass), and a drawstring bag.
Ball #2 unwrapped and one fingerless glove completed except for weaving in ends.. the ball contained some design scissors, a flat quarter, soap (blue and pink hearts.... what scent are these?), a camo pouch w/ matching hair bands, leaf stitch markers, glitter, lip gloss (which was actually in the other ball, I just forgot it for the picture, and there were also some buttons which had already made it into my button stash before taking pictures, and I can't remember exactly which ones I received, but I assure you, they were awesome.
Also in the 2nd ball were these awesome mary jane slippers! Funny story, my husband saw them on my feet and said "oh! I want a pair!". So now I have to make him some.. even though they are kinda girly. Ha.. boys. They're strange.
