Okay so I've come across some patterns that I really think that I am going to use. One problem though. Being a beginner I don't have the knitter lingo that I should have down. So a few quick questions:
1} What is a seed stitch?
2} What is a garter stitch?
3}What are DPNs?
4}what are Crochet hooks?
5}And what is a tapestry needle?
Thanks!!! Grin

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Overly Excited on: June 14, 2007 03:45:32 PM
I'm being overly excited at having at last found a way to stay in touch with the latest knitting insides. But I have yet another burning question or questions. Circular needles, how hard are they to use? What are some good places{locally} to get yarn, as in not on-line?

P.S i'm a Latham, New Yorker
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / twisted yarn on: June 14, 2007 03:38:23 PM
i'm working with this type of yarn its called homespun and it's really getting on my nerves!! It makes me wanna punch infants. Angry Just joking.  Grin But anyway i think its some type of textured yarn it looks like: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ {as in squiggles}.  So when i try to knit with it the knots either looked like a jumbled mess or just  plain don't come out right. What should I do?? Undecided
