1  Bad Girls Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Princess Jenny on: March 08, 2006 11:10:21 AM
I made a hobo bag to tote library books, mail, and patterns around in.
Embroidering it was the most fun!

2  Purse for my 9 yo tomboy- Pirate & maltese cross adorned in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Princess Jenny on: February 22, 2006 11:35:06 AM
My 9 yo dd wanted a purse/lunch sack that wasn't girly.  She is a huge tomboy, and a big west coast choppers fan--thus the Maltese Cross.
This is what we came up with:
front

back

Oh, and I made the purse from reconstructed jeans I purchased at the thrift store.  I then downloaded the embroidery designs from a couple of sites on the internet (they were free designs- YAY!) and used my embroidery machine to embroider the pockets.

3  1 pr of junior size 3 jeans--turned into a pair of capris AND a skirt for 6 yo in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Princess Jenny on: July 29, 2005 12:57:12 PM
I hated to get rid of my 13 yo dd's jeans she outgrew, because they were just too cute---
I turned them into a skirt (embellished with heart & star stitches) with a fringed bottom and a pair of capri pants for her 6 yo sister.

5  Career Day/Halloween Costume for dd #1 in Halloween Costumes by Princess Jenny on: October 18, 2004 12:32:40 PM
Last Friday was career day for my 7th grader.  She has wanted to be a veterinarian forever, so I whipped up some scrubs for her.  They will do double duty for Halloween, once she found out she couldn't get a cut from her sisters' trick or treating candy, she decided to dress up too.
Including pattern (bought at 99cent sale at JoAnns), the entire scrub outfit only cost $5.50 to make.  Cool!
I embroidered her name and DVM on the scrub shirt pocket.  She said no one understood DVM meant doctor of veterinary medicine--I said it was better than dh's suggestion to embroider VD (veterinary dr). Roll Eyes
Here's a  couple of pics:

6  Soccer quilt for baby in Quilting: Completed Projects by Princess Jenny on: October 03, 2004 03:28:03 PM
I just finished this baby quilt for our dear friends.
The front is a soccer ball embroidered with the words
MVP 2004
El Torito
(El Torito is their nickname for their new son)
The colors are red, white, and green for the mexican flag.
Dad is a soccer player, coach, and major fan.
Back of the quilt is a preprinted panel with roads, and planes, and buildings, that the little boy can play on with his cars when he is big enough to sit.

7  lunch bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Princess Jenny on: August 12, 2004 04:09:49 PM
I made this lunchbag for my kindergardener today.    I used the Butterick 6735 pattern.
Her teacher called today and told me that the boys in the class had been throwing her brown bagged lunch all over the playground and all the contents were sandy and smushed, and my baby was crying Cry
This made me very mad Angry
So I made this beautiful (lol) velcro creation for her, to prevent this from happening again.  Darn boys!!!  She says all boys are stinky now---except, of course, Daddy  Smiley

and a closeup of the fleece applique

I love the trenchcoat.  Tres Chic Grin
Can't wait to see the pics of future clothes--the black pleather dress sounds like it will be very cute.
And batgirl--how incredibly cute is that gonna be! lol!
I wish I could dress my babies up--but they are huge!!!! 150 lbs and 120 lbs.

Dyabolica--do you use a pattern for your big dog creations--if so which one?  Its hard to find things for such large dogs Grin

10  Super easy summer shirt in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Princess Jenny on: July 19, 2004 04:38:03 PM
Most recent sewn garment.  I made this super easy summer shirt and "do-rag" ok, I guess it is a head kerchief or something like that--but my kids hate it when I call them do-rags--so I do; just to torture them Grin
