1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Alternative medias on: June 07, 2010 03:46:35 PM
I am a high school art student looking for ways to expand my portfolio. I mostly deal in drawing, painting, and ceramics. I'm looking for ideas on some alternative medias to try out this summer in my spare time. Basically, I want to try drawing and painting on surfaces other than paper and canvas. Some ideas that I had come up with were throwing a pot on the wheel and then doing a painting on it, painting on old records, and painting on wood. I would really appreciate any other ideas that anyone could think of. Thanks a ton!

Well, I haven't posted any photography here in a really long time - I haven't posted anything, really. But I decided that I wanted to share some, so here are the highlights of the past few years.

Thanks for looking! Comments, questions, suggestions always welcome.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Best beading magazine? on: March 08, 2009 01:37:01 PM
Hey all,
I'm looking to subscribe to a beading magazine, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I don't really have a specialty, I really just jump around, and I love trying new things!
Thanks a ton,

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Clear coating for a decoupaged bangle? on: March 03, 2009 06:32:30 PM
I have a bangle that I've decoupaged with different words and phrases, and now that it's done, I realize that I don't know what I should use to coat it. I have Sculpey polymer clay glaze and Mod Podge Gloss-Lustre on hand, and if neither of those would work, I can stop at the hardware store or Michaels to get what I need. Any suggestions? Thanks a ton!
