Quinn, I made riceballs later and put my guy on the plate and my boyfriend picked up the plush and tried to eat it as a joke. XD

Sorry for the bad picture. I only have a scanner right now, but I'll try to get better pictures sometime soon. The face is embroidered on, and it's sewn together with embroidery thread. Made of cheap, 25 cent felt. I made the stitches and the ends visible (instead of turning it inside out) because I thought it was cuter. It's about as big as my palm (and my hands are six inches from the top of my wrist to the tip of my middle finger).

I promise it's cuter in person! My normally sort of stoic boyfriend looked up at me, walked over to the door, shut it, came back, and then -squealed-. It was excellent.

This is a umeboshi onigiri, or a pickled plum rice ball. The little plum is worried because he's afraid no one will see him, stuck on the rice ball's back. But we see him.

I plan to put a little spot of velcro on the back of the rice ball and the plum so he's detachable. Or should I just go ahead and put him on?

Dunno.. I'm just practicing for now. ^^;; All the ones I've done are on just one of the tea-towels from the Stitch It Kit. I might cut them out and put them on something, but I doubt it.

After doing my first bit of embroidery, I wanted more practice. My boyfriend drew a little dude onto the fabric and I went at it! First time doing the back stitch, but I think I did it okay.
