I'm a little slow on the uptake but I would most definitely love to join this! <3 I assume I still have to PM my email address so I'm gonna go do that~.. Have to find some decent fabric too!

Sarush, just do it! Seeing your embroidery, I know you're gonna totally blow me away on this too. D:

Thanks everyone <3

Quinn, I made riceballs later and put my guy on the plate and my boyfriend picked up the plush and tried to eat it as a joke. XD

I also made another one! I'll put it on the first post.

Thank you guys so much! Cheesy
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My first onigiri plushie! (added another) on: August 01, 2007 12:24:22 AM
Actually I think this might be my first plushie, too. Smiley

Sorry for the bad picture. I only have a scanner right now, but I'll try to get better pictures sometime soon. The face is embroidered on, and it's sewn together with embroidery thread. Made of cheap, 25 cent felt. Smiley I made the stitches and the ends visible (instead of turning it inside out) because I thought it was cuter. Cheesy It's about as big as my palm (and my hands are six inches from the top of my wrist to the tip of my middle finger).

I promise it's cuter in person! My normally sort of stoic boyfriend looked up at me, walked over to the door, shut it, came back, and then -squealed-. It was excellent. Cheesy

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: I made another one!

This is a umeboshi onigiri, or a pickled plum rice ball. The little plum is worried because he's afraid no one will see him, stuck on the rice ball's back. But we see him. Smiley

I plan to put a little spot of velcro on the back of the rice ball and the plum so he's detachable. Or should I just go ahead and put him on?

Again, thanks for looking!

Two more new things. Cheesy This is really fun!

Captain Planet! He's our hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero~

Thunder.. Thunder.. THUNDERCATS! HOOOO!

I'm planning to do the Autobot & Decepticon logos next. Smiley Thanks for looking!
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Punklike Handbag Bag on: July 31, 2007 11:23:58 AM
It's even more punky because it's hand sewn. <3 Love it!
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: BF's sketch into embroidery! on: July 31, 2007 01:35:55 AM
Dunno.. I'm just practicing for now. ^^;; All the ones I've done are on just one of the tea-towels from the Stitch It Kit. I might cut them out and put them on something, but I doubt it.
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / BF's sketch into embroidery! on: July 30, 2007 09:57:49 PM
After doing my first bit of embroidery, I wanted more practice. My boyfriend drew a little dude onto the fabric and I went at it! First time doing the back stitch, but I think I did it okay. Smiley

Thanks for looking!
10  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: my first foray into embroidery too! (tea cup) on: July 30, 2007 09:56:01 PM
Yay! Oh my god you did so much better than me. <3 I'm too chicken to try the chain stitch but yours turned out so cool, I might have to.. Love it!
