101  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Nintendo DS Monokuro Boo Box on: June 13, 2007 09:08:43 AM
That's a nice box.  I love how the DS lends it self so well to crafting little cases for it and the games.

My friend should post a shot of the little pouch she made to hold her games.  It's just big enough to hold 2 games snuggly or one on its own (she only has 3 games and 1 always stays in the DS itself).  To close it there is a cute little button and a flap with a tiny button hole.
102  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: headphone... sleeves?? on: June 13, 2007 09:01:03 AM
That is a really clever idea.  This is why I love this forum so much Cheesy!

Well I don't own and iPod / MP3 player or even a good pair of ear bud headphones I will certainly be trying this out when I do.  It makes them look very bohemian!

Making your own packaging is a really cool idea.  Nice work!
104  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Edited: Straw Shrimp! on: June 13, 2007 08:56:23 AM
These are just too cool.  I really have to buy a book full of different designs or something now.  The finished result is so fantastic for a shrimp or any kind of crustacean.

I've made a three already and I think they are so snazzy.  I think I want to make an army of them to guard / decorate my shower.

Great use of two colours.  Is that you own design?  I like it Cheesy!

That's fantastic.  Asparagus is amazing!  I think that is a really clever and stylish shirt.

I really like the sketch style outline you did and the placement.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
107  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Looking for a online community on: June 12, 2007 09:57:07 AM
Hello everybody!

My name is John and I'm a crafter at heart.  Since I was kid I have always loved crafting things and having a project on the go.  Then when I grew up I lost that desire, it took meeting another crafter to rekindle that lust for me.

I'm into knitting, making stenciled T-shirts, home decor, and anything geeky Wink.  I have a lot of things I want to try, and I'm still just getting my feet wet and getting over the fear of making mistakes.

I love the community here and I really need to become more social and meet some new friends.  I recently broke up with my girlfriend of over a year and I'm having a hard time moving on Cry.  So in an effort to help me expand my horizons and rediscover myself I'm going to take the plunge.

My forum name is a recent realization of the type of person I am.  I have the quiet soul of a bunny trapped in the large body of a bear.  I hope that with meeting new people and expressing myself I can try to become the more outgoing person I want to be.

Thanks!
