I have the coolest new friend and I want to go visit her for March 18, you'll see why later  Wink

Everything as it arrived (some of the postcards on the side got cut off)

Postcards, cards, and picture CD. One of the postcards is about the tatoo expo that I would love to go to. While I have no tatoos I do want one, but I'm nervous to get one around where I live for various reasons. My YDD claimed the armadillo (I   had no idea people ate them!) and horse post cards  Roll Eyes The tatoo one is going in my work cubicle. I still need to look at the pictures.

Show and tell. Cynlynn loves the beauty of religious items, I have to agree. Bamboo knitting needles, my 1st pair! Tori Amos CD/DVD, I'm listening to it now and I never knew that I already liked her! I loved the songs Silent All These Years and Crucify when they were out, but I never knew who sang them! She reminds me of Gwen Stefani, who I love. And 2 of her favorite books, now I don't have to go to the library today!

And some small things. The scarflet is so soft and incredible, I actually want it to be cold out again! and it will match my brown coat perfect! I adore the wallet and necklace, so me! The coworker is too funny and I can't wait to bring him to work, I have an annoying one across from me, but he wouldn't catch the hint! There's also a felted covered votive holder, a snoopy with a light up heart, soap and a stuffy (he looks like he's from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends)

Thanks so much Cynlynn, you are a great friend!

Myself, my 2 daughters and my son have received an incredible package from Mimik, it was just like christmas here yesterday when I got home from work, paper was flying everywhere! Since it was the evening the lighting in the pictures wasn't the best, but I wanted to get one before everything was strewn throughout the house!

and with the lid open on the jewelry box

mimi should definately get a prize for bargain hunting! ODD got gel pens and a tin of lip gloss, YDD got Hello Kitty gel pens, I tried to get them from her, but she wasn't giving them up and tatoos, she is proudly sporting the flower one to school today  Cheesy  DS got Cars tatoos, he has lightening on, a Cars dry wipe board and growing things. Now for me I got a lovely jewelry box, lip gloss, mascara, eye shadow, strawberry shortcake ribbon and the birds that YDD claimed as I won't let her get a real one  Roll Eyes  Thank you Mimi  Smiley

28  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Round 7 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TAOJ on: February 02, 2008 01:07:24 PM
Here is my MYB  Grin

The yarn is Garnstudios Fabel, the colors are stunning! I can see a cute teddy sticking out, he needs to breathe. There were some chocolate hearts close to the surface that DS and I dug out  Cheesy Also a beautiful star book and some kitty stickers. DS also claimed the stickers, but he will share with me and his sisters as long as he can chose who gets what!

The pattern is for these socks http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter02/PATTstraightlaced.html  I love socks so they should be fun to do. I want to knit out my surprises, but I have a couple of things to make before I can start so I don't know if I will knit it out or not. Either way there will be pictures  Smiley

Here is the shirt I received in this swap. It is screen printed with a skull and the saying "knit fast, die warm" and an embroidered Strawberry Shortcake pirate on the sleeve  Cheesy I think it is from Calluna?

30  Nanny's photo christmas quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by TAOJ on: December 28, 2007 09:01:05 AM
I made this for my mother for christmas. I used photos of her grandkids and hand embroirdered the piece in the center. I have made rag quilts and a couple of small quilts with squares, but this was my first large one. I backed it with an incredibly soft micro terry.
