I used to work at Center Parcs in Thetford Forest in the holidays whilst I was at Uni, so around 18 years ago roughly now!

Not sure if there is anyone who hasn't shipped yet, but if there is then beware that if you're shipping to the UK then if you mark the package as worth more than 36 ($57ish) then the receiver gets charged importer fees even if it's marked as a gift.

I had absolutely no idea about this until I just got a bill in the mail for about as much as we both paid for postage combined, yikes!!!

Adding to the freaky Worcester / Glouster coincides, I am off to stay with the in-laws in Worcester UK tomorrow! (Live in Suffolk)

Cool! Now, if I drove into Boston, I'd end up in Suffolk county... and Mr. Toast was in Boston back in June!

And I come originally from Norfolk (UK) and used to work in Suffolk (UK)!

Well Mr Toast has been home for 4 days now, and I've finally got a chance to get some piccies up!!  We got a new dog the same day and it's been very stressful, feel like I've done nothing but walk her, stop her from ripping stuff up and feed her every day so far, argh, but Mr Loops is downstairs with her atm so that I could finally do this post!

Anyways, so CraftADDChick put together a wonderful swap package for me, Mr Toast was very eager to show me everything and tell me all about his trip Wink

Here's a piccie of all the edible goodies, CraftADDChick picked all of my favourite American chocolates, whoppers, junior mints, york's peppermint patties, plus some maple candies and yuuuum coffee!

Check out Mr Toast's awesome new neon hat, he totally loves it and it's just in time for the weather getting cold!  Also pictured is some mardi gras necklaces, little squishy digger, some pencils, Massachusetts fridge magnet, Imax glasses, Red Sox beer cosy mmmmmm beer, and super cute baseball cap for Mr Toast.  Plus look at that froyo scoop, first thing I said when I saw it was that it looked just like Mr Toast which is just what CraftADDChick said in her letter! Grin

Mr Toast wearing his cool baseball cap!

Some shots of Mr Toast's fantastic scrapbook, I love it, it's very polished!!

I love that CraftADDChick lives in Worcester [US] and visited Gloucester [US], and I live in Gloucester [UK] and visited Worcester [UK], rofl!! Cheesy

Lots of information on Johnny Appleseed, including an apple recipe cookbook!

Some postcards, including a baked bean recipe one, nom nom, some stickers and a Red Sox pennant

Lots of leaflets and maps of where Mr Toast visited, plus a shiny new cent, a super cute glass ladybug, and weirdly enough a UK 20p which Mr Toast found on the streets of the US, how weird?!!

Thanks for a great swap CraftADDChick!

Yey, Mr Toast is home!!! Cheesy  I will be posting piccies as soon as I can, but we just got a new rescue doggy yesterday and it's taking all my time atm to try and get her acclimatised, as she's clearly Destructor, destroyer of all things!!  Suffice to say it was a fantastic package tho, thanks so much CraftADDChick! Wink

Very sad to see him go, but Burton will be on his way to the Post Office this morning to start the long journey across the pond back to Massachusetts!!  Just taking a few piccies of everything and then he'll snuggle down into his sleeping bag with his new pal for a mini hibernation Wink

Alas he isn't on his way yet after all as I didn't realise that Royal Mail have outsourced international postage or something so it was going to cost me 70 ($114 ish) so need to have a look around to find a cheaper option. Downfall is that I didn't have time to do it yet as we're now away camping again until Tuesday, but he'll be on his way hopefully Wednesday!!

Urgh!  Did you manage to find a cheaper option? I am UK too and can in no way afford 70!!!

Yes thankfully I found that private couriers were muuuuch cheaper than Royal Mail, I used Fast Lane International and paid 26 in the end which was with FedEx couriers, and he arrived in under 24 hours which was amaaaaaazing!!! Shocked  I wish I'd thought of that a few years ago when my swap package was 50, I just paid it because I hadn't even thought of using someone other than Royal Mail at the time, craaaaayzey prices!!
