1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Sock Monkey/ Sock Critter Swap (sendout 03/31) on: April 12, 2010 03:53:26 PM
Got my package from bobbiemay today and you probably heard me squeeling all around the world.  My cowboy sock monkey is soooo cute and he came with his very own stick horse and a conestoga wagon model.  Love them!  Pictures are posted in the gallery.

Yeeeehawww!  Got my package from bobbiemay today and I'm wild about my new sock monkey...and his horse!  I opened him in the car with my friend, Joy and we were both squeeling!

Not only did I get a cowboy monkey that will fit right in here at Sock Monkey Ranch, but he came with his very own horse.  The details on this monkey and his horse are amazing!

I introduced him to the other cowboys on the ranch and before he could even tell them his name, they dubbed him "Dude" and once a cowboy gets saddled with a nickname, he's got it forever.

Thank you so much, bobbiemay, for this adorable fellow and for the Conestoga Wagon, too. My grandsons will have fun putting that together.

Have to tell you, though...all the other cowboys are right jealous about Dude's horse.  They'll probably be bugging me for one of their own.  Thanks for the fun swap!

Not sure I'm good at this swap thing.  This is my first and true to form...I get so side-tracked that I forget to check in on Fridays.  Sock Monkey projects are almost finished, so I will be able to ship out on time.  Having fun!

CHECKING IN

I'm so excited about doing my first swap.  I've been sick most of this week, so haven't started on my project, but I have tons of supplies (since I've been making sock monkeys for a while) and have been designing in my head, so I can't wait to get started.

My partner's a real sweetie, so this ought to be fun!

Want to make sure I understand before I sign up.  This is my first swap.

Does "You will be crafting 1 large (Sock Monkey or Critter), 1 medium (outfit or accessories) 1 small (6 points) for your partner around what she/he likes." mean that I make one large sock monkey with an outfit and/or accessories and something sock monkey related to go with it?

How are partners picked?
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / How do I make my own reusable iron-on transfers? on: December 19, 2009 01:51:05 PM
You know the kind of iron-on transfers that come from Aunt Martha's...is there a way to print your own so that I can use them over and over?  A special ink?  A place that prints them for you?

I'm just starting to embroider and make my own patterns and would like to scan them into my computer, then print them out as reusable iron-ons.

Any ideas?
