11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Pin Cushion and Needle Book on: June 07, 2013 01:19:06 PM
I thought this would be a nice little gift along with some new pins and needles for my friend who had some seriously bent and dull pins. The button on the pin cushion is made of polymer clay and the little book has 4 felt pages inside for needles.

13  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: barn and birches, late fall (pastels) on: December 30, 2012 06:09:35 AM
It's beautiful. I would love to have it hanging in my home.
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Felt tissue holder, bookmark and coin purse set on: December 10, 2012 02:31:46 PM
Thanks twin lakes for this idea. I made the brown set first and sewed the flowers on. I decided to use fabric glue on the purple set. That sure made it go faster plus my hand sewing skills aren't the neatest. I made the buttons out of polymer clay scraps. Since you can make the whole set out of one 9X12 piece of felt and some felt scraps for the flowers, I think it makes a cute and quick gift.

15  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cake with a geode and succulents! (and the sad story behind it:)) on: November 18, 2012 06:18:37 AM
You did a fantastic job. That is a totally cool and creative cake. What a lucky guy to receive it.
16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Zipper pull on: November 09, 2012 07:04:31 AM
Simple little zipper pull. I was given a hand made one years ago when I broke the one that came with my jacket and thought it would be a great idea to make some for little gifts.

19  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: chalkboard eraser with mini tutorial on: May 28, 2012 06:58:40 AM
I LOVE this idea. I just got through making a blackboard and added eraser to my shopping list. Your homemade eraser is WAY cuter! Thanks for the tutorial. I knew that I'd have a use for the styrofoam in the garage. I can hardly wait to make a couple of them.
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: hanging garden bags on: April 20, 2012 06:52:31 AM
Silly judges. I LOVE your idea. I bought a bunch of X-large men's shirts at a bag sale last week. They're mostly Hawaiian prints. I was wondering what I was going to do with the pretty fabric. Now I know. I'm going to cut some of it up and use your idea and hang them on our chain link fence. Thank you! Thank you! Very clever and creative.
