Oh my that's sweet!  I'd never have thought of mixing fabric and polymer clay, that's so clever!

Ok, I haven't put it on there yet, but I've made it to apply to the house and the writing is so small that the "9" in "2009" could be an "8" or a "backwards capital P" or maybe a tadpole.

I don't want to give anything away, but I think it's safe that I tell that I put "Tiny House Swap 1 / by TheMistressT / 02/2009" on mine somewhere.

I hope people are going to sign/date their houses!  I'm about as certain as one can be that if there are other rounds I'll want to participate and get a little collection going - ATC style.  And if there aren't other rounds, I may have to organize one.  And I want to be able to show who did what and when.  In fact, I feel so strongly about it that I'm going to copy and paste this same post into the gallery thread even though it's too late for those who've already sent to sign their artworks if they haven't already.  (see I just did!)

3937  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: CPSC to put WAHM (D)s out of business on Feb 10th on: January 28, 2009 10:34:11 AM
If I remember correctly from back when I worked in building materials retail, retailers were required to have MSDS available upon request.  So technically your yarn shop, craft store, etc. ought to have those for you.  And if they don't, they should at least have a personal relationship or purchasing leverage with the supplier to get that.

Ack!  That is fantastic!  I love the furnishings and how some are 3-D and some aren't.  And how convenient is it to have a toilet right there between the bed and the crib?

A lot of companies put their MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) online as a PDF.  Hopefully a lot more of them will now.  I've seen them a lot for paint companies (which is good for this particular situation), but I bet yarn companies haven't... may not even have them as most yarns probably weren't considered hazardous materials until now.  Anyway, most companies have websites and I'd suggest looking them up (maybe the site is under the parent company name, so hopefully your label will have that) and then hopefully you can find contact information there.  I imagine they're A) getting swamped for requests they weren't prepared to answer and B) trying to find a way to get that stuff available online so they don't have to use wages, new packaging and postage to get the information out.

Thanks so much for your help!  I don't think I'll be tackling it any time soon, but it's good to have more information when I'm ready!  I've had a heckuva time finding something about this on the internet... it's all about making the mould itself with plaster so you can cast other materials into it.  I'm not sure how to phrase my searches differently.  Although, I may try and so some anatomical hearts for Valentine's Day.   Kiss
