I hope your hard work pays off! Water is so hard to control and predict... just ask our poor road when the snow melts. Smiley

The card ornaments are so charming!

My crafting has also halted, because I am remodeling my kitchen. I will be working a tiny, little bit from stash: I am refinishing rather than replacing the cabinets and will also be using glaze and tints I have on hand for that.

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: No Kitchen Is An Island, But Now Mine Has One. on: February 09, 2016 07:24:22 AM
What a great idea for an island! I have a kitchen cart as my "island" right now, but it's not ideal. I've seen the ones made from old dressers, but finding the right one hasn't happened. I'm thinking I might have to hit the local Re-store to see if I can find some components so I can assemble an island of my own.  A couple of cabinets and a section of counter top, and I could be in business. I won't be able to get all fancy with outlets and a USB port, but at least it would be better than what I have now. Thanks for the inspiration!

Good luck! It's a fun adventure of a project when you're in the searching phase and since you have a decent solution now, you can take your time. Had we lived closer to our ReStores and other used building material store and I could've checked in more often, we very well may have been able to find something there.

Wow! You're a miracle worker! Standing back one would never notice there had been a repair.

I LOVE THIS! I'm not yet menopausal, but there is only one thing about it I am looking forward to and I am sure you know what that thing is. UGH. I must remember this for when I need to create my way through the rage.  Roll Eyes

"Thank you! It looks blue-ish in the pic, I suppose, but it's actually a mid-to-dark-tone grey!"

Oops, looking at the pic again, the stove in the background is also blue... I need a new computer.

Grey is much better!  Wink

Uh-oh! Maybe you can just adjust your monitor settings and get by for awhile. Smiley
