1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / I just wanna say.... on: September 16, 2010 10:12:13 AM
I missed you guys, and i am so happy to be back. Not having Craftster in my life these last 9 months was definitely not for the best. I was very angry, but like most lessons in life, you have to make a mistake to learn it.

I cant wait to re-earn your trust and friendship, all of you.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Posting your projects: What do you tend to leave out on: December 18, 2009 03:22:05 AM
for example: i am an avid crafter, but i tend not to post my projects in general (i make ALOT for swaps and dont post what i make for them 90% of the time) but one area that i leave out ALOT is my papercrafting

i scrapbook all the time, i have dozens of mini albums and pages, and really its the craft i am the most proud of, but i almost never post pics of the projects

i cant fathom why, so im wondering...anyone else do what i do? and do you know why.....Smiley

Details of swap:

The idea is to make one tiny holiday (be it Christmas, X-Mas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Yule or any other winter holiday in December or close to it) Disney themed craft item. It should be physically small (miniatures are encouraged) and should be something that you can craft with a high level of skill. Even if it is a fairly simple/easy item for you to make, please embellish or perfect it so that it best represents your skill. (For example, if you wish to make a coin purse, I encourage you to embroider, add beading, or take other steps to make it a really special piece.)

You can have up to 2 partners. You may only send each partner ONE tiny craft - "extras" are not allowed in this swap. All items should be 5x5  or smaller. The idea behind this swap is to give you a simple, low-pressure craft swap that won't stress you out or cost a lot to ship.

How do you know if your idea is "tiny?" Examples: A coin purse is tiny; a clutch purse is not. A pair of earrings is tiny; a necklace, earrings, and bracelet set is not. A trinket box is tiny; a recipe box is not. An ATC (artist trading card) is tiny; a full-size drawing is not. (If you're not sure if your idea qualifies as "tiny," ask me!)

This swap is short but sweet, and always a ton of fun!
If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / angelling for your own swap on: October 05, 2009 09:56:44 PM
i had a flake that was in no way my fault, but i feel really bad for the person who was flaked on, so i am going to angel myself (yes i have the time, resources and everything like that)

my question, if *i* angel for my own swap do i get angel credit?? i.e. does it go in my feedback or do i get the craftster subscription

i am just curious, i am angelling either way

Details of swap:

The idea is to make one tiny Halloween Disney themed craft item. It should be physically small (miniatures are encouraged) and should be something that you can craft with a high level of skill. I hope this compromise works for everyone, but I really wanted to do a Halloween Disney swap too, so I split the difference.
