I originally devised this as a sort of slip cover for the standard case they are sending out w/ the new ipods (how long have they been doing that? my last one was a 3rd gen, when they were still sending out firewire cables & WALL CHARGERS .. so glad i kept mine).
instead, i ended up cutting the standard case into two pieces (front & back) and using it as interfacing/interior fabric. it's a very snug & kind of sturdy, smooth, seude-like fabric, so i'm glad that worked out.
velcro closure w/ a button for detail ... a spare for the interior buttons on my awesome blue peacoat, the background in these photos.
oh & the houndstooth fabric hardly cost anything. i bought like six 1/3 yards of dollar fabrics a few months ago, this was one of them.
handstitched because i didn't have a solid plan at first, which i prefer to have for machine sewing .. and it was just one of those days where i wanted something to work on while watching tv.
