11  Re: Forest Friends Round 2 Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by chinarockfishakm on: February 16, 2008 06:48:18 AM
I got my package a few days ago but I was busy and just got around to posting. Mine was from Christy (ccswch). I got a grey corduroy bag with a flap and it has a hedgehog applique on the back, a hat with a skunk, a little cute drawstring bag made of pink skunk fabric, some earrings, 2 wallets and a checkbook cover with a skunk on it, and some paper tags with a fox, skunk and raccoon on them. Thanks Christy!!! I have been using the purse to carry my little projects around in. YAY! Heres a pic:

I bought these at an antique store but I dont know what to do with them. The tag says Tuilp Quilt Sqare Circa 40's. I dunno. They are so pretty. The pic shows 2. They are just stacked up. Thanks!

13  zippered pencil pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by chinarockfishakm on: January 13, 2008 12:32:13 PM
I made it using this tutorial (changed the size a little for pencils):

I have had the flower fabric sitting in my stash for about 3 years and never cut it. I love it too much. I decided I finally needed something made with it:-) Might make a small tote also.

14  reversible tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by chinarockfishakm on: January 12, 2008 11:23:23 PM
I didnt follow instructions and sewed the liner to the outside when I sewed the straps on. Oops. I guess its not reversible anymore. Oh well. I like the outside better anyways:-)

Made from this tutorial. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=91070.0
I will follow instructions better next time. Thats if I ever make one again cause it took me forever. Maybe onto an easier bag:-)

Outside:

Outside fabric and strap (which is also inner fabric.).

16  tonka dumptruck cake in Dessert by chinarockfishakm on: January 08, 2008 11:44:52 AM
I made this for my sons 1st birthday. I used 2 9x13 cakes and cut the pieces to "sculpt" the cake shape. My hubby made the board to make the cake look like it was standing on the wheels with 2 pieces of masonite and dowels in between. It was AWESOME!!!!!! Amy

I made these from Amy Karol's bend The Rules Sewing book. I made them little and stuffed them with hair accessories for 3 little girls for xmas. Now I want one for me. Smiley
These were the first bags I ever made and it was alot easier than I thought. IM off to make my own. Have a good day everyone!!! Amy
