Soooo ... that big project I was working on for a friend's wedding in May? Yeah, didn't get it finished by May ... and then did absolutely nothing on it between May and November ... I'm such a great friend :-p

But today I figured I should probably take it up again and hopefully get it done by ... their first anniversary perhaps?

Looove that thing ... I used to use it make cheap props for events at college.

Such as Sir Hotness, who is rasterberated, printed, assembled and glued to a large sheet of cardboard to make this 2m tall knight.



This post reminds me that I should make some more posters for my room ... thanks!!

Another progress shot ... I stitched at this all weekend and it still looks like I have hardly anything done!!

*sigh* it's still at that stage where it doesn't look like anything yet ... well, for a while there it looked a bit like a rabbit but that doesn't count ... I need to step up the pace because I need it by mid May.

  Good job so far!! Wow, how challenging but it will be amazing when it's done!

Vervaco - To Have and To Hold

I'm gonna start soon, I just have to finish off my Dad's Christmas present first (umm, last year's Christmas  ) which is a celtic knot I'm 3/4 the way through.

I made this for my stepmother for Christmas as she collects snowmen ... I picked him because I loved his cool hat!! It's a Casey Buonaugurio Designs chart called 'Let it Snow'. Originally it was meant to have snowflake buttons but they weren't going to frame well so I used a Rhodes-heart stitch instead.

This is a stencil I've been wanting to make for ages, I'm not sure how happy I am with the final product though.

I ended up using orange sparkle on the fish because they didn't look right when they just flat orange.

Was walking through the supermarket when I saw these plain blue fuzzy slippers and thought 'Hey, I recognise that blue!!'.



Searched the internet for pic ture of his face and used that to trace the mouth and eyes onto felt, cut out and adhere with hot glue. Voila!! I want to put a cookie on the somewhere as well but my housemate argues it won't fit.

I also put in a jumbo size box of tic tacs (mysterious Australian white coloured orange tic tacs lol) and some orange and white striped material with cherries on it that I bought before I realised I had no idea how to sew stretch fabric.
